This is a bit too weak tbh, but it is neat I’ll give you that
It could be fun as an effect a deck has
A deck that encourages blind skipping sounds fun
would it be stronger if it let you go to the shop instead
I still like the effect, I just think it would be cooler as part of another skip based deck, perhaps one that allows to get the blind award, interest and hands from skipping while also giving better skip tags or something.
Technically is that not Anaglyph rn?
Yeah, but why not another, anaglyph makes it more rewarding to skip blinds, it could get a sister deck that makes it less punishing.
To be fully honest I think a deck that encourages mass skipping blinds would be a bit boring since it removes a large part of the game and ignores many mechanics. I like Anaglyph’s design where it rewards intentional, smart skips
This doesn't necessarily support mass skipping blinds, the effect isn't strong enough for that, it just makes it easier to skip a select few blinds that have rewards great enough to be worth it.
I wasn’t really referring to this deck, rather this message:
A deck that encourages blind skipping sounds fun
I think plasma deck makes a counterargument to that. If the effects of plasma deck were incorporated into regular gameplay, the game would certainly be diminished, but decks function as standalone explorations into alternative gameplay, it is fine if they break or remove a few aspects.
I think the difference is in changing vs removing
Plasma decks 2x blind size forces you to approach situations both early and late differently
This would actively remove a good chunk of the gameplay loop
Which ahile not the biggest deal to me, is not at all comparable to Plasma
Allow me to rephrase then. A deck that makes blind skipping less punishing.
This idea as a deck still makes it so you don't see shops.
To balance it, maybe make it so there is no shop after the ante boss. So you have to play the small and big blinds if you want to get a build going.
If this was a deck it’d suck ngl, especially if it also showed one less shop. What a skip deck really needs is more shops
moneys!!!
??? deck - gain money from remaining hands and interest when skipping a blind. [every two blinds skipped, visit the shop, or things are 25% more expensive]
True, but I was thinking more of a deck which rewards you for skipping but also gives some downside. Maybe make it so rerolls scale half as fast to compensate for less shops?
Honestly at this point I've tweaked it enough for it to be its own suggestion lol
