you are intended to fight a finisher boss blind on ante 8n (multiples of 8), taking heiroglyph/petroglyph gets around that by not rerolling the boss if you take it at ante 8n+1. This aspect is intentional. Rerolling after this and getting a Finisher Boss when you just had a normal Boss Blind is also intentional as you are now on ante 8n.
