found a fix,
im on linux tho so it is prolly diff for others
rm -r "/home/luci/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2379780/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/Balatro"
Balatro > Properties > General > Steam Cloud
toggle that off
then launch it again
that somehow fixed it for me
