Hi! I and many others here run GrapheneOS on our phones instead of stock Android, as it is much more secure. (https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/18415-balatro-on-graphene/15) However, it seems that Balatro is using the Play Integrity API when searching for the app in the Play Store, as the message, "Looking for Balatro? This app won't work for you device." appears. This prevents GrapheneOS users from both purchasing and downloading the game from the Play Store. It is possible to purchase the game on a throwaway Google account and use a third-party Play Store app to download it, but this carries the risk that the account you used to purchase the game gets banned.
This security check puzzles me considering that Balatro is a singleplayer game, and thus shouldn't need to check the security of the device running it. Regardless, there is a way to include GrapheneOS support without dropping this security check if it is needed: https://grapheneos.org/articles/attestation-compatibility-guide
If the above is not possible, could another avenue for buying Balatro be provided; one that isn't tied to the Play Store?
I really want to support the devs by buying Balatro legitimately, but given that I am unable to purchase it due to the security check, I may have to pirate it instead.
