I'm uploading stuff on github first time in my life, btw
Currently there's these jokers (Third joker sprite by @fallen bluff ), this deck, special consumables for the last joker and an enhancement for the third one
Actually I fucked up First Melody big time 🙏
How my ass even missed it out is beyond me, but both consumables don't work as intented. Other jokers are fine, I think
I know that it's stupid for me to drop a broken version of a mod and just say that I'll deal with it later, but I'm not really in the mood right now
I fixed First Melody (I THINK). Now the mod is TRULY somewhat playable

Turns out G.FUNCS.discard_cards_from_highlighted() does waste your discard if used in a consumable. It doesn't do that on The Hook blind! Whatever, guess I'll make FM2 also give a discard back after using it

If you don't have consumable generators and fail to find emperors it will take you 3 blinds to achieve your 2X, which sounds pretty good to me. 7 is just mildly infuriating because you would have to go for another blind just to eat 1 consumable

There's also a Director's Cut in vanilla, which can be pretty active if you want it to be like that

I took Baladrone's hook for context that checks for clicking on the play button and used it to deselect all spades (to avoid double selected cards) and select them again. It affects your hand and stuff, so single cards can be played only if you have no spades in your hand. Then it makes all spades scoring
It's funny that it works, because for some reason it's hard coded that you can't play/discard more than 5 cards normally, even if your selection limit is more

-Escaping Kakania - maybe econ joker that gets value when your ante goes up or down
-Heirloom Crucible (That's how it's called in Lopera's items section, maybe rename when jokerifying?) - exchange 2 consumables to a bullet (What's the deal with bullets? Not sure yet)
-So far character jokers been based on battle gimmicks, but that isn't a rule. Maybe Loggerhead will join blueprint family, recording last obtained Joker? Or smth like that
you could do something with like centurion's coin guaranteeing luck maybe
like something where it guarantees written probabilities but it either has limited uses or costs money so it's balanced

- Currently going ante down is possible only 4 times (hieroglyph and pneuma analysis) and I'm not sure how do I feel about adding stuff affecting antes
- What a storm blind would even do? Reverse you?

But I didn't really understand how to get partner checking for jokers and stuff so I decided to go with Green Oranges based one, since there's already a "Skip" partner in the base partner API that sounded that did basically the thing I envisioned but with money instead of consumables.
Quips referencing THE scene are a bit edgy? Probably yeeees, but leaving it with default quips felt wrong

Sooooo, context.partner_click doesn't have enough of delay to avoid spam clicking to dissolve a card multiple times to get more XMult. The best solution I came up with is to shatter consumables instead of dissolving them lol
Regarding the problem with the context partner_click, I accidentally wrote the buffer inside Jump, thanks for the feedback, this will be fixed in the next version.

Murderer mode will basically be a trading card but without money, changeling gets scaling XMult on murderer use.

I also think @upbeat moon suggested storm deck at some point? Could grab the storm spectral card for that and make a deck that reverses a joker on ante change or smth like that. Sounds like annoying deck to play on, but I like the idea of more than one thing using reversing gimmick

Awakened rarity seems weird, since I already have some R1999 awakeneds with normal balatro rarities. And Reversed could potentially be for something else too? Just special storm interactions in general, if they happen to come up

I just looked up how Handsome Devils treats creating random tags and completely copied the function without trying to understand it. I think awakened variation of diet cola will spawn a random tag every 2 rounds? (On completing a boss blind sounded horrible for a joker effect, although I can always change my mind lol)

So since SoD is heavily music-themed (And Acoustica is literally... Y'know) I will try to associate some kind of musical instruments with Jokers that don't have much background to go off

Today I made acoustica (the spectral card) appear only when an eligible Joker is owned
@spiral path Just now installed the mod from the lastest Github and got this crash.
I think the variable is supposed to be G.B1999.SPECIL? G.B1999 is what's declared in main.lua, at the very least.
Also looks like Storm doesn't bring up Reverse info properly. It looks like it requests the 'reverse' key, but the actual localization info for Reverse is under 'b1999_reverse`

Saw this on reddit (u/DottieBun), reminded me that I had an idea of Lucy doing the same thing with suits. But that type of effect needs a downside and I still didn't come up with one...
I have 1 idea:
All suits are considered [one particular suit] (changes every round)
That sounds like a nice Joker idea, but doesn't really fit Lucy.
Idk if you played or even know what Reverse: 1999, but it has an afflatus system (basically element system like in some other RPGs) and after using her ultimate Lucy's attacks are stronger against every afflatus
And the most obvious parallel to afflatus system in balatro would be suits

I do play reverse 1999, but I don’t have lucy lol. I did have a second idea that the scored hand can no longer contain a flush, so your limited to only the base hand types without flush as well, since the scale of joker synergies I think will outweigh the negatives?
That would mean that you can't play 5-card hands at all, making it kinda useless
I mean, you can still play straights but yeah, it’s pretty broken I think without that factor, maybe it’s not though and I’m just thinking overkill
