the flames persist after getting a naneinf all the way to the shop and the next blind, potentially lasting the entire run (haven't tested it out yet)

yeah, naneinf just kinda breaks the game in a few ways

reloading the save will cause you to crash when you try to play a hand as well so there are quite a few issues regarding it

naneinf happens at around 10^308, more specifically, at exactly 2^1024

the game just can't naturally handle numbers that large

again, the game can't handle the size of the numbers so when it tries, things don't go great

I can't say for the exact reason, but when math stops working, things can get really weird in coding
