#Bonus Jokers - A short and sweet mod for some additional Jokers

After spending countless hours playing Balatro, I kept getting ideas for Jokers I thought would be fun additions, and that led me to try my hand at learning how to mod some of these into the game, and the result is this!
It's nothing fancy, for now it includes only 5 jokers, but I'm quite proud of it for a first foray into the world of modding, and I want to keep going and do some more ambitious things in the future.

Also wanted to give a huge shoutout to the people in #💻・modding-dev for being incredibly helpful, and to the people at the CampfireCollective for their work on the Extra Credit mod, being incredibly inspirational while also serving as sort of a guide for how various effects could best be implemented.

Here's the Jokers included in the mod, I'm quite happy with their effects and after trying them in game in multiple runs I've had a lot of fun using them

All the spritework was made by me as well (using jokers from the vanilla game as a base, to try and make them fit the aesthetic as much as possible)

First time doing any kind of sprite art as well, so that was also a learning experience

Haha yeah, Archibald is probably the most well known Joker/Jester that's not already a Legendary, makes sense multiple people would go with him

Gave myself Archibald at the start of a run in gold stake just to try it out, I gotta say he is sadly pretty weak compared to yorick, which is the only vanilla legendary with scaling mult

I do like his way to play, you basically buy and sell to increase his mult or play more gold cards. But he scales super slow so far

I think I got him to 5.7x mult from ante 1 to 10

I feel like you can increase lucky cat even more with the same time and he is an inusual joker

I got him with a negative edition so basically easy way to get rares I guess

I did experiment with a different downside, earning $1 less every time you earn money, but that was extremely rough and even moreso if you found a way to get multiples, and that was ultimately what made me go with something else, cause a legendary that you wouldn't want in multiples just didn't feel right

I don't feel the 1 in 2 chances is bad I just think it scales pretty slowly due to the 0.1x increase
What about maybe increasing 0.25? but the chances are 1 in 4 maybe

1 in 4 is getting into 8 ball territory, and lord knows no one wants that lol

And bumping it up to 0.2 or 0.25 would make it scale way too fast if you just get lucky

I like the 1 in 2 cause it adds Oops all 6s as another synergy you'd be happy to find with it
