I seriously wouldn't roll at all in the Ante 16 shop until you're at the boss. I ended up wasting a ton of double tags because of that. There may be a bean somewhere in the Ante 8 shop, but if so it's DEEP. You have the vouchers to do it then, but you'll need a TON of money to pull it off.

During the crimson heart boss, which can only occur in Antes 8,16,24, and 32, if the boss disabled a joker which gives or takes away hand size, that effect becomes permanent if you exit and reload the game. So if you use the bean joker which gives +5 hand size, you get +5 permanent hand size every 2 hands if you only have two jokers. This can be used with burglar, which gives extra hands, to get an insane hand size, which makes a baron mine build amazing.
If you can get this Ante 8, that means you need to win with the power of only one joker (and the bean itself.) This isn't too difficult to do on plasma with just planets. Ante 16 is a bit trickier, you need a baron and ~30 red seal gold kings in hand. Still very possible though.
Some tips. Vouchers are CRUCIAL for this. Vouchers skips are almost a must take, and thus the cola joker which gives a double tag when sold is also a must take. What you need, j order are these vouchers. The boss reroll voucher, which makes this possible in the first place. Overstock, which helps immensely with getting the bean. The cheap reroll voucher, for the same reason. Hand size voucher, for money and for helping you win with fewer scoring jokers so you can go all in on money jokers.
More tips: you don't want to fix your deck to all kings. You want to keep queens, jacks, 10s, and 9s. This allows you to abuse Seance to spawn in a ton of ectoplasms, which are fantastic as your hand size will be able to cover its downsides. They also allow you to get full value in Ante 16, as otherwise you'd win too fast to play all your hands and therefore abuse the bean bug to its fullest potential. DNA helps a lot with this, though the timing on when you should take it can be a bit tricky.
Even more tips: without overstock, you'd need to spend ~$3000 across the three ante 8 shops to get a 50% chance at a bean. You need a LOT of money to make this consistent.

Didn't know what that meant, looked at the seed again, you meant it showed up at the 54th shop slot. By that time you should have both overstocks, so after seeing two shops that's 11 rerolls. I suppose that's more than I remembered, I ended up having +$2k after Ante 16, that probably coloured my perception a bit. If you space out the rerolls instead of my recommendation of waiting till the last shop, you'd not even need to hold money. Still, extremely doable.
