Speaking of defect i fucking love hyper beam
i don't remember using hyper beam
there was a speedrun with defect that was abusing the fuck out of it
Wait
I remembered
My true goat fission
That’s my favorite card
Fission > echo form 😍
offering is goated
@oak citrus i didn't reply to you in the original chat sorry but i got ascension 6 on both silent and ironclad
But with echo form you could play fission twice and do nothing
Silent is fun to do British simulator with (Shiv builds)
And I'm understanding how poison works
Which is fun :D
Wraith form is probably my favorite form card
REAL
Basically burst > catalyst
i remember just throwing the flask at a group and watching it go boink boink
Wait which defect card gives you damage immunity?
like a bouncy ball
Thats my goat
BUFFER
that's how i got this
fucking love buffer
That's a great card
Uhh which one is burst?
burst retriggers or replays a skill
Oh yea
2 skills if upgraded
catalyst when upgraded triples the poison on an enemy
Do you guys take the snecko eye if offered
not when my deck is mostly 1 energy cost or lower
I don't because I hate playing with my luck. Mainly because I'm one unlucky person 😭
Reasonable
if i got a bunch of 2 energy attackers and a 3 energy power then i will probably consider it
not really
snecko is kind of a bitch
still my luck is quite bad
Can you pls explain how Ironclad works? I get that you get to use Exhaustion as incredibly valuable deckfixing that also boosts you. Buut that barely ever is enough for me to win runs. Is there anything else?
Or am I not Exhaustionmaxxing enough
ironclads runs are either extreme exhausting of your deck so you can accelerate tha fights or a lot lot of strength
slay the spire was my first card game alongside inscryption so i kind of didnt understand the importance of deck thinning for a majority of the time
cards that hit a lot of times like pummel or twin strike especially benefit from strength
Blade
that didnt stop me from getting really fun strong runs though
Yeah same
My foolish little brain was thinking "Why would I weaken myself by destroying attacks!! Is the game stupid??"
when i started the game i used to always take perfected strike but honestly i don't now mainly because i kill my strikes a lot
"is he stupid" the roguelike
Inscryption helped me understand the importance of having a thin deck
What an awesome game 😌
Welll yea
inscryption is so fucking awesome
I now feel like that's a noob trap
i didnt play the roguelike part of it post-finish i just completed the story like normal
it was GREAT
it was AWESOME
You do not want to have many cards in your deck and Perfected Strike incentivizes it
it was CINEMA
I played both, 100%ed it, was thirsty for more from the creator of that masterpiece, played The Hex, fell in love with Daniel Mullins and accepted him as the best game dev ever, played Pony Island, loved that game too and now I can't wait for Pony Island 2
But seriously, if you liked Inscryption's story aspect, PLAY THE HEX
pony island seems to be praised a lot
i dont have the mmmoney for it though
the steam currency is in dollars instead of turkish lira now
and one dollar is like 37 TL
The Hex is Daniel Mullins' magnum opus and clearly is the center of the mullinsverse
so everything is expensive
Damn 😭
i can try to convince my brother to buy doom though its one dolla
the hex?
like
spectral card?
"lose 6 hp but win"
gives polychrome to a random joker, destroy all other jokers?
talking about incinerator do you know everhood
Just by name 😔
undertale if it was about beats (sort of)
i only watched the full playthrough but man its fucking amazing
Lemme check it out
im a huge sucker for deeply-philosophical-stories-with-good-lore-portrayed-as-a-simple-graphiced-game
what is y'alls most hated elite fight
That looks fun :o
Lagavulin probably
I fucking hate Lagavulin
dude i hate lagavulin
It SUUUUUUUCKS
disgusting fucking creature
he has so much hp and he's act 1
literally the only enemy other than the literal boss of fhe act thaat has more than 100 hp
but lagaluvin is just so bad
And its ability is bullshit
Fym dexterity and strength -1 on an act 1 elite 😭
lagavulin is almost an insta reset on silent
you dont have one shot cards by the end of first encounter?
fuck you im taking your damage and defence
if you get your first elite as lagavulin you prob don't take more elites
FR BRO
So true though
do you know what's even worse
-Starts with already low-hitting cards
-Enemy decreases the damage of cards
Absolute cinema if i meant "utter bullshit"
he has 8 fucking metalicize for some fucking reason
As in, they're both hardcounters, but there exists a technique to get you to survive in both (Poison in spire, glass cards in balatro)
like i get it he is stunned if you break them but what the fuck
8 is so much
poison builds on silent is so fun i feel like a war criminal testing biological weaponry
I like melting things by injecting them with more poison than their bloodstream can support :3
:3
"haha i hit you a 16-"
you will die in 2 rounds.
theres only the end for you and death for your people
I shall raise a terrible build of poison, capable of inflicting generational trauma upon my adversary
all that stands before me shall fall
this is sort of a lich reference
"Your death is inevitable and history shall not remember you. Your fate is to be a puddle I jump over, on my path to greatne-" dies to Time Eater
if i was honest my favorite neow option is the rare colorless
strongest assasin of today vs the strongest boss of history
or rare card
time eater has legit been a runkiller for me
time eater seems to be one of those that get increasingly harder than the other bosses as your ascensions increase
one of two things happen
you get a phd in probability and statistics trying to determine the greatest order of cards you can play in 6 plays
random bullshit go until time eater tells you to stop
Yes, but Neow's Lament makes you win an elite one shot. Idk if it actually is worth but I always take that lmao
Might be like Skipping in Balatro where the value is much less than simply not skipping and getting the shop and payout? Hell if I know, I'm a noob in Spire and I have the priviledge of being clueless :P
the act 1 cards experience:
Ok that's it I'm playing a round of Spire
Do I go for Ironclad or Silent?
Actually
Ironclad
I wanna try that out now that I have more roguelike deckbuilding knowledge
did you guys play sifu btw
Died to The Collector but damn, I actually made a pretty solid deck
