I installed both lovely and brainstorm, when I lunch the game I get a new window for lovely and I get the brainstorm option in the settings, but I don't have the purple mods button and I think the mod is not working

The purple MODS button is added by Steamodded, that's normal. A unique quirk with Brainstorm is that the mod folder has to be named exactly "Brainstorm", make sure you've done that

If you press Ctrl + A and it starts a game, then it's found a matching seed. Check inside the first tag for The Soul

You don't have any search enabled, but you have Inst Perkeo checked, so it's finding the first seed with a Perkeo in any of its search locations, either in the first tag or the first pack
If you set Tag search to Charm Tag, then you can take the first skip tag immediately for The Soul
And uncheck Inst Perkeo to find any Legendary, not just Perkeo

Sounds like something is broken then - it's possible that another mod is messing things up. If you have any big content mods like Cryptid, they might be responsible

That's very weird, i haven't heard from anyone else with that problem before, sorry. Sounds like the searcher is crashing and failing to pick a seed, but it's even weirder that it works sometimes

Ctrl + R doesn't search, that's just a convenience hotkey to start a new run without Brainstorm

That's normal, though it should be saying "ERROR Charm Tag ERROR"
