The description of Troubadour says "minus 1 hand each round." I feel like this implies that for every round after the first, you subtract one hand from the total number of hands you have. For example, you might start with 4 hands in round 1, then have 3 hands in round 2, 2 hands in round 3, and so on. I feel like it should say "minus one hand."

I feel like this also extends to Drunkard
But what would happen if you reach 0 hands
idk you lose? The card is only -1 hand so it should say "- 1 hand"
you should change the description unless you want to change the cards and have 0 hands or infinite discards
so you get -1 hand the first time you buy the joker and all other rounds you start with the normal amount of hands again? it's better to put each round at the end
this happens with heiroglyph and petroglyph too
You can get 0 hands in the base game, and the game cheats in a hand for you
I agree with this, except I find it ironic that the hand size doesnt do that also lol
Id say make it “at the beginning of round lose 1 hand”, but then it barely solves the issue + that would go after needle and set you to 0
the language is pretty confusing but seems consistent, even red/blue decks say "+1 hand/discard every round"
the joker would still say - 1 hand on your 2nd round, so i dont believe it should reset to the normal amount. “-1 hand”would always imply that it is 1 less than your normal amount.
yeah i agree. It is inconsistent that troubadout just says +2 hand size, but it also says -1 hand each round. they both add/subtract a set amount, but they have different wording for some reason.
yeah that's true
when i was a new player i did misread this kind of effect i feel like a rewriting would help make the game more understandable for new players
It is very inconsistent. For some reason decks say "every round", vouchers say "per round" and jokers say " each round"
burglar adds 3 hands at the start of each round
but it just says plus 3 hands
but i guess it does say "when Blind is selected"
it weird and inconsistent
the wording for burglar does makes sense though
i feel like it is trying to specify that it adds 3 hands at the begging of the round because you can copy this card with brainstorm and blueprint
while you cant copy drunkcard or troubadour
