I can still create new profiles, but in the profile I play on I can't start or continue the run without the game crashing. I've tried repairing the files through steam, but it didn't help. Is there any way to fix this?

try and delete the saved run from the game's files.
In file explorer, type %appdata% then go to Roaming -> Balatro - > 1, 2 or 3 depending on which profile has the bricked saved data, then just delete the file named "save". Hopefully that fixes it.
