#Te Reo Māori Language Localization

this looks cool! Keep up the good work.
Made a lot of progress today! Translated all of the Tarot Cards, Planet Cards, Enhancements, Seals, Editions, Suits, Ranks and some of the HUD and UI bits too! The Jokers are the part that's gonna take the longest, but so far so good!
Te Reo Māori Language Localization
I've made my way through about 70% of the Jokers, I'm on a really good pace to finish this mod quickly.
I've also made 'Te Reo Māori' a new language! It was possible after I looked into how the Vietnamese mod worked.
As of just now I have translated every single Joker into Māori! This was one of the biggest tasks of the game and took me the longest but I'm glad to have done it! Couldn't have done it without the help of my gf who translated many of the names herself
Here are some screenshots of some of the Jokers in Māori
Also just finished translating the Achievements, Challenges, Decks, Stakes and Vouchers
A bit random but I haven't translated the names of the Legendary Jokers, Fibonacci and Troubadour since they're all proper nouns
I also didn't translate Deja Vu, mainly cause there isn't a similar Māori word to it, and Ouija, cause it's a made up word
Kohia ngā Hako! Tīkina ngā Kapa! Turakina ngā Ārai!
Kia ora e te iwi! Balatro Reo Māori is a mod for Balatro that adds Te Reo Māori as a new language! The Being a Nerd in Māori Team translated the entire game, including all Suits, Jokers, Tarots, Planet Cards, Spectral Cards, Blinds and more! This mod has been made to work on WIndows. There are currentely two versions of the mod available:
Balatro Reo Māori - Lite
This version is much easier to download and doesn't require any modding at all! Perfect for people who don't know how to or don't want to mod, and just want to experience the game in Māori. This version will replace all English text with the Māori text, but it won't add Te Reo Māori as a new Language option. It will also replace the English language option with Māori instead.
How to Install:
- Download the Lite version of the mod
- Press Windows Key + R, and type %appdata%, then press 'OK'
- Open the Balatro folder. (This folder will not appear if Balatro hasn't been played yet)
- Open the "Balatro Reo Māori Lite.zip" and drag the "localization" folder into the Balatro folder
- Play the game, and make sure you have selected English as the language.
- The game should now be in Māori!
Balatro Reo Māori - Full
This is the full version of the mod that adds Te Reo Māori as a new language, which enables you to switch between English and Māori. This version requires you to download the latest versions of Lovely and Steamodded.
How to Install:
- Download the latest versions of Lovely and Steamodded. (If you don't know how to do this, there are plenty of tutorials on Youtube)
- Download the Full version of the mod
- Press Windows Key + R, and type %appdata%, then press 'OK'
- Open the Balatro folder. (This folder will not appear if Balatro hasn't been played yet)
- Open the Mods folder
- Open the "Balatro Reo Māori.zip" and drag the Balatro Reo Māori folder into the Mods folder
- Play the game, and select the new Te Reo Māori language.
- The game should now be in Māori!
I'm glad my mod was mentioned
I'm so glad you made that mod, it made me realise that it was possible to add Māori to Balatro so thanks!
oh, there are a lot more you can do with modded localization
@nimble meadow btw
smods beta has a separate override for some prompts
you might want to consider that
here's the solution on my end
Oh cool haha thanks
do you wanna submit this to the balatro mod manager collection?

Omg I'd love to! What do I need to do? Also I'm going to update the mod soon so I'll probably submit it when I do that
i linked to the forum post for the mod manager and that has a link
from what i can tell the part that is the most work is probably putting the mod on github (assuming it isnt already)
btw disclaimer im not actually involved i just think it would be really cool for this mod to be on there
