TIWMIG ("This Is Where My Ideas Go") is a mod I'm developing solo where I add whatever comes to mind. It's mainly just a way for me to explore the possibilities in Balatro modding, as well as practice pixel art and staying disciplined in scripting.

I probably won't take content suggestions or sprite submissions. I will, however, enthusiastically regard suggestions on how to improve existing code or art!

Current content includes some Jokers with various mechanics. More content to come!

Why did the creators of TIWMIG even bother, you know? At this point, just say that you hate Balatro's core mechanics, you hate the community, and you're making something entirely different to Balatro.

I seriously hope that TIWMIG's devteam pulls this mod from the web and issues an apology. This mod is insulting. /copypasta

v0.2.0 will be officially out soon; i finished the code for the last set of Jokers to add, now I just need to work on the art for them

It was a storming night, with thunder raging across the obsidian hills. The storm has raged on for 7 days and 7 nights, and it doesn't seem intent on stopping. Though my body aches and my heart continues to grow dark with despair, I continue onwards to a goal that I cannot hope to comprehend.

Without a moment's notice, in an instant of indifferent cruelty, I was suddenly struck by a thorn of light, with a thousand volts coursing through my body unfalteringly. I drop to the glassy ground, convulsing in utter shock of the sudden attack. This has to be it; the end of my journey, so quick and sudden, and without much fanfare.



...but from the corner of my blurry eye, I saw a red figure sprinting in my direction. I could not muster the strength to escape the incoming newcomer, but to my surprise, he arrives to my side and hoists me up.

"C'mon, don't die on me now!", he exclaimed. "I got a place for you to stay!"

Then I recognized that red figure; it was none other than the Divine Comic, the Grand Jester. He holds me up as a hang onto him, and we stagger forwards in some direction. My recollection of this moment begins to fade at this point, though I vividly remember rays of sunlight piercing through the storm.

When I awoke, I found myself on a couch in a cabin. The Grand Jester was once more at the corner of my eyes, this time preparing a meal at the stove. He takes note of my conscious state and quickly strides over in my direction.

"Thank God you're alright," he remarks with utter relief. "Can't have this mod ending in obscurity, huh?"

Quick announcement: TIWMIG is no longer an acronym - formally, that is. I did some thinking and decided that restricting this mod to purely my ideas is not gonna do said ideas good, especially with some ideas i have that would greatly benefit from others' input.

Yes, This Is Where My Ideas will still Go, but it won't just be My Ideas going forward, maybe.

yeah so oddly enough idk how but this mod conflicts with banner's animation if I install this mod I can't see the cross that banner usually gives when I use to disable something. Just wanted to let u know.

It says it does I don’t know if it actually does it but the registration still happens like the counter of the amount of jokers goes down I haven’t played yet so I can’t confirm but I assume if the counter were to go down if available jokers that it still works as it should it should just be the animation.
