What's the problem
How do you do it
I can't access %appdata% on Linux as it doesn't exist
@sand hamlet
It's not that
Hmm
Not sure if this is in violation of server rules
Technically Linux isn't officially ported, yet it's still considered a pc mod technically
I think that part is ok as long as we aren't debugging source code or redistributing. Sound about right?
I think it's fine
I'm curious about how Linux FS handles this too tbh
There's a handful of methods to use for porting to Linux, although I think the easiest to do is just install the engine and run from source, but if you made an appimage there might be something in usr/ subdirectory somewhere
Want to mod? Easy.
Omg Linux guy
Just open your file manager, e.g. Thunar, Dolphin, or others....
Go to ~/.steam/root/steamapps/compatdata/2379780/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/Balatro
Done
Create a folder called Mods, yes whit uppercase "M", and install this there: https://github.com/Steamodded/smods
Now go to ~/.steam/root/steamapps/common/Balatro
Download and extract this file: https://github.com/ethangreen-dev/lovely-injector/releases/download/v0.7.1/lovely-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip
The file is called: version.dll. Copy it inside the Balatro game files. (~/.steam/root/steamapps/common/Balatro).
done
Now go to Steam -> Properties -> Launch and paste this: env WINEDLLOVERRIDES="version=n,b" %command%
okay
Now you're done. You can install mods into ~/.steam/root/steamapps/compatdata/2379780/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/Balatro/Mods
ty
No problem.
I got an error on game startup
Can you send a screenshot?.
You installed Cryptid, right?.
Cryptid comes with its own smods version.
Ah
Just remove the one you installed.
Yep.
If you have problems on Linux or in particular games, try using this Custom Proton: https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/
