When i try to download it of of nexus (the only download I've been able to find) it downloads as a .rar and doesnt work when placed in my mod folder. I've got lovely injector and steam modded but I've played with other mods and had no trouble in the past.

Not sure what they mean by "not a legal mod", but a .rar file is basically just a different type of .zip file. You will have to install WinRAR or maybe 7zip to unzip it.
