And I think it would actually be neat if you played too many hands that value went in the negative

You already discard all your cards, that's already tough as is. You can't sustainably play small hands nor held cards.
Because you'll always get rid of about 8 cards.
Only discards make you keep cards.

But in this case I understand
Losing -$6 just because you can’t find a straight on your first blind is punishing

I'm just not sure how this deck fares. Because blue seal strats get eaten up, when you're out of discards you're hoping to draw 8 good cards, I find it might enables a lot of hand shrinking high card play.
