B-Side (A Music Replacement Mod)

I'm currently working on a custom soundtrack for the game that aims to capture a similar vibe to the original. I'm not as talented as LouisF, but I really just wanted to try my hand at emulating the style while still putting a fresh spin on things.

The mod is still a work in progress; Final tweaks are being made to the tracks before exporting them and should be out in a couple of days! In the meantime, how about a sneak peek?

Okay, all 5 variations are pretty much done, I think boss blind still needs some work though.

I've never done that, I'm not sure what it takes to get music up on most streaming platforms but I plan on uploading it to youtube and soundcloud in the future

If anybody has the time to listen, I'd like some feedback! The ones I'm most unsure about are the shop and boss themes

With that said, the mod is complete! Please let me know if there an any issues!

The only problem I noticed was that switching profiles seems to cause the song to start again and overlap with itself, which Ill look into later

quick question, does it require a specific api or smth (besides steamodded/lovely)
and do i need to do any specific installation or does it just go in mods folder

It doesn't require anything extra, you should be able to drop it right in the mods folder

you could change it to something more broad instead
having a completely specific dependency for steamodded is pretty bad

and that was the reason it wouldnt show, because it only supported (what i presume is) your version of steamodded

Gotcha. I mean, you can't load the mod without steamodded anyway so I'll just remove the dependency altogether and mention that's the modloader you need in a readme or something.

Or if that's bad practice I'll just make it broader like you mentioned

Incredible tunes! Really captured the Balatro ethereal feel while still giving it a more upbeat, airy twist.
Between this and Bonne Soirée's darker moody ambience we really need a full blown music selector mod

Judging by how my mod and existing music replacement mods I used for reference work, you can only really have one at a time. But it might work if you added the music to a dedicated folder or something

Heya, I'm working on my own mod and I can't figure out what music track corresponds to what screen in game. I know music1 is the default, 3-5 are alterations that fade in and out, and music2 seems to play when opening some card packs but not others?

Is there any documentation that says what file goes to what thing in game??

Is this on github or other code hosting sites? grabbing from a google drive is fine, but I want to use this in a much larger mod I'm making, and referencing a github repo is easier than tracking a google drive folder for updates.

Will do. It's a rather large mod, so it's going to take me a while. All of the tools and other mods I incorporate will be properly credited and tagged, so you'll see it when it goes up.

An LFO modulating a filter, plus an additional LFO modulating the rate of the first one

The LFOs also set to run freely so they aren't synced to the BPM and don't restart on a new note

I don't plan on it, this project is pretty much done. I only plan on updating it if it breaks in newer versions of steamodded and somebody tells me

But I might consider making a new music replacement pack someday, maybe I'll make some special themes for popular mods if I do

Right now I'm more focused on my other mod knick knacks and even that I haven't worked on in a few weeks
