Just a thread of random ideas for Balatro that other people can look at for ideas. Feel free to use them if they strike you as interesting, albeit lemme know if you do. Credit is also appreciated.

Jokers:

  • Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, Legendary: Flip between two forms, One Raises cards to Kings while the other Is only active with no Kings in hand? Not sure. Might be fine as two separate jokers.
  • Spelling Bee, Uncommon/Rare: Spell out the word "JOKER" using a unique type of messaging system (developed by me, listed below) to get a benefit.
    Clown Prince of Crime, Legendary:
    Sticker Joker: Gives +/x Mult = number of stickers on jokers you own. Allows Jokers to be created with Blank Stickers (which do nothing?) and at 10 stickers, allows antimatter stickers to be produced (fits in the slot where eternal/perishable stickers would go, gives 6 dollars at end of round)

Balance:

  • Photochad has been shown to be extrodinarily powerful. Photograph is the only multiplicative joker at common (not counting Cavendish). More than likely Photograph needs to be shifted to Uncommon. Hanging Chad is probably okay at common given it's limited uses outside of working with photograph, mainly making card changes and higher rarity jokers better.
