#Secondary Monitor Causes Hang/Crash on Windows

I currently have two monitors on my PC, both with identical display specs (1920x1080 resolution, 60hz refresh rate), but one monitor uses HDMI and the other uses DisplayPort. When using the "Extend Displays" setting to use both monitors, Balatro will hang upon launching if it attempts to launch in fullscreen or borderless windowed. I can circumvent this by setting my displays to only show on one monitor or duplicate my displays (shown in the video by the section where only the right display is shown, which is my primary monitor), and I can mess around with the game even in windowed mode after setting it back to extend, but attempting to use fullscreen on my secondary monitor at any point causes the same hang.

I saw an older post about this that someone managed to solve by disabling something in AMD software, but I don't have an AMD processor or that software problem going on. PC specs for reference

Aaaand the video didn't embed. Hold on, let me convert it to mp4

Yes this happens to me too, literally the exact same thing... I wasn't able to make a proper recording though...

I do have AMD Specs, both CPU (R7 5800X3D) and GPU (RX 6950XT), but i can share a few more infos to this problem:
I have one monitor on 2560x1440 on 170Hz and my second monitor on 1920x1080 and 60hz and Balatro only starts successfully if i use duplicated monitors. I tried using extended monitors and have them both on 1920x1080, but Balatro won't start then. It only works if they're duplicated...
I don't know how to change between Borderless or Windowed mode outside the game, so i can't test that. My specs for reference as well:

Glad it's not a hyper specific problem only to me, though I'm sorry you're having to put up with the same thing

okay so i played around a little. Starting Balatro with duplicated monitors and changing to extended monitors works. I checked my video settings and changed the chosen startup monitor from my secondary monitor (2) to my main monitor (1). I restarted and Balatro opens up just fine

#

BUT, when i change the chosen monitor ingame back to 2, it immediately crashes without error message

#

Balatro seems to have problems processing a startup on a secondary monitor?

Yeah I'm noticing the same thing. However it's not universal. I have two setups and normally play on my laptop connected to an external monitor via HDMI as a secondary display, and I see no issues with using the second monitor or switching monitors it's on with that setup.

However it's my tower setup with two monitors that reflects the behavior you're seeing
