First Round Joker

Ensures a specific Joker card appears in the shop during the first round.

This mod offers the same functionality as Choose First Shop Joker which is now marked as discontinued by its developer.

This mod also offers:

• Keep the selected Joker even after closing the game.
• Use the base price of the Joker instead of the extra priced added by the "Negative" effect.

hey, i'm trying to use this and my game crashes on startup whenever i have it enabled. is there some sort of mod incompatibility here..?

I little late, sorry.
If you haven't solved the issue, you can try to update your Steamodded (smods) installation, since its likely a problem related to the modloader (smods) itself not the mod.
Many users have download the mod on Nexusmods and none of them reported any similar problem, looking at the error I can see its a problem with the smods API, not the mod.

You can select it from the Collections -> Jokers UI.
Just hover a valid Joker card and press the activation key, by default F.
You can also change it on the mod settings page.

That's the way it current works, though I want to change it as well.

Hello, is there any way to disable the negative status of the joker?

Why do you want to disable it?, at the moment there is not an "option" to disable it, though you can use the "Base Price" option if the Joker price is too high or use Lock the Deal mod, so that you can purchase it later.

But if you still want to disable it, I will release a new version soon, it will have an option for that.

I want to disable it since I want to use the mod to make the game more fun, I find it quite annoying to have to restart to try to get a start that i like.
