Currently i've only added 3 elements, Iron, Copper and Silver but im gonna work on more when the enhancement fix is done 😭
Cool idea
ty ty
Maybe make a new pack with gemstone/metal cards in which you can consume them to turn cards into either gemstone or metal cards
Gemstone are better but come at the cost of being more niches
some ideas i have for other elements though:
- elements that react with air: have a chance to destroy themselves and every card played in a hand, give x bonus when it happens
- Lead: cannot be retriggered, is a better card overall
- Polonium/dangerous elements: start at out at 5 Xmult, lose -1Xmult for every joker owned
i do have a couple plans for that, like having a tarot for each major periodic group that'll randomly turn the selected cards into a random enhancement, from that group
Example: ruby; when card is discarded the next played hand will gain an additional amount of chips based on the rank of the ruby card stacking inf
If you could dm me ur ideas ill give you mine and maybe we can work together on this
oh i mean i'll have all my ideas here, i dont expect any help though so dw :]
(heres iron, silver and copper - copper does need a redesign though)
oh this is my exact shit
There should also be a mechanic where metal cards can "degrade" or rust over time causing them to decrease their effects
gemstones feel a little seperate from elements
chemistry autism?
Yes.
Well it's metal's so
following this
based asf
maybe instead of oxidization
you could do uhh
fuck whats it called
how did i forget this
Erosion?
no no
patina?
Should I make my own mod
i was given that as an idea for radioactive elements, after retriggering x amount of times they turn into a different element
MHM
up to you dude :]
Make a nuke card
what was that one experiment where like
It can only be used once per run and it instantly clears out blind
theyd make artificial isotopes of a high value
and then let it beta decay
to discover new ones
you mean using a particle accelerator raisedcateyebrow~2
maybe? im really shit with names
like i could tell you exactly how something works and not what its called
i remember this one video
about like
this one guy who lied about discovering a new element
i think it was explained in that one specifically
mhm, yeah i know the cideo
also, i will be uploading a very early build of this.. Soon™️
it only has 3 elements, but right now 2 of them dont work and are waiting for the enhancement calc fix
peak ?
peak.
potassium just applies the gros michel effect to the card
😭
so an objectively worse glass card
thats acc a stupid idea i love it
iron: 5+ mult when in hand (worse steel, on purpose)
silver: retriggers the card once
copper: retriggers all other copper cards around it
oooh i love those
especially iron, exactly what i was thinking with it being a part of steel
mhm mhm
i wanted it to be a worse steel, i was deciding on wether to make it chips or mult but imo
mult works better
ye ye
silver just being another retrigger is interesting with red seal
could it be retriggered via hanging chad? ik red seal cant
maybe? no idea tbh
i'd have to test it
originally silver was only gonna be a "retrigger other cards when in hand", but ehhhhhh
also at least you have gold cards done for you already lawl
literally 😭
could be another interesting idea
silver card retriggers the first card
if you have another silver, it retriggers the second
(or first if youre doing high card lmao)
though its probably easier to code them just retriggering the first
that works
but yeah, thats gonna be a pain in the rectum to code 😭
the copper code is somehow not that bad, but its still iffy
honestly i like retriggering the first card via a card in hand
would be interesting with mime and red seal
ooh
just had an idea for gallium
infamous for its incredibly low melting point
what if it was a decent effect, maybe some x mult or lots of chips
-# liquid metals are also an interesting conundrum
but it breaks whenever the fire effect happens, aka one shotting the blind
because the heat melts it
either breaks the card or loses the enhancement
thats how you could do it actually
its like glass
but instead of breaking
you lose the enhancement
and its a regular card again
true actually, thats neat
since the liquid slides off
the original idea i had for mercury/liquid metals is that it couldnt be debuffed, but it’d lose its rank
which essentially means you can only play flush, high card, flush house, and maybe another hand idk
im personally not a fan of rankless but the no debuff is interesting
so all liquid metals would have their own, strong effect, but can lose the enhancement somehow
not the card though
yuh yuh
when having the fire effect makes sense since melting point
it’d be like changing a stone card to a different enhancement
im pretty sure theres a way to check the current blind and how much a hand scores
there is, i really need to learn it for my other mod 😭😭
How can we make each element an improvement? I've been thinking about ideas for a long time.
eh, im sure theres enough ideas to make it work, this is not my first mod for a game revolved around the periodic table
😭😭
I've already taken on this, but it remains a bunch of ideas in the notebook.
You'll also need to implement this in code, I can come up with everything else.

May I suggest that a nickel enhancement provides $0.05 when played/triggered?
thats smart actually, i like that
May I also suggest:
Niobium: A combination between copper and steel, but only works with itself, as niobium is very conductive (literally more so than human nerves) and (was) used within wires and some lightbulbs.
Platinum: Literally just a better gold; but harder to fine.
Lithium: Provides additional mult (compared to a mult card), but has a chance to react with the air and dissipate
Tungsten: +1 hand size it cures mortality after all, cannot be retriggered
I have no idea on what Zinc and Tin could theoretically do.
i like those ideas a lot
and lithium, (and other alkali metals) already have a similar idea to that?
essenitally they have a chance to destroy the entire hand when played, but give a big bonus when done so - HOWEVER they have double that chance to just destroy themselves when in hand
so if its a 1/4 chance to destroy the entire hand, its a 1/2 chance they'll just delete themselves in-hand
Sounds good.
heres nickel, i did want to add "IN JIMBO WE TRUST" but not enough space
also turns out, nickel the ore is slightly yellow
which imo, works if its gonna give money raisedcateyebrow~2
With Chromium being a primary component in stainless steel, perhaps Chromium could be immune to debuffs?
Hell yeah
as mentioned, i'll release this version when the enhancement calculation fix is implemented, however unless i get off my lazy ass and learn how to make tarots, there are currently no easy way to get any of these enhancements (except from standard packs? which eh?)
thats really funny lmao
