Jokers ability is to change chips you earned from each of your scored spade cards into mult (counts chips from base card, edition and enchantments), eg. an ace of spades would change 11 chips into 11 mult and bonus 10 of spades would turn 40 chips into 40 mult, on each trigger
Additionally, there's a deck that features Vivian as a starting joker (but with a sticker that eliminates his sell value to not cheat the game too much with free rare)
