So i've been having this issue which a lot of poeple seems to be having where i can't launch the game due to my "graphic card not supporting Open GL2.1".. i tried everything i could find on steam, reddit and this discord except installing Mesa3D

I have a AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT so i tried using the Super Resolution fix someone mentionned and it didn't did the trick either.. My drivers are up to date, my AMD software says OpenGL 4.6 is supported.. so i don't know what's it's about..
Trying to force the game to use my GPU didn't work either..

One of the 2 things that worked is unplugging my main monitor that is using display port and the game is now launching on my old ass secondary LG monitor using HDMI.. then i can replug my main monitor and start using it.. And seeing my cable & desk configuration.. let me tell you i'm definitely not doing that each time i want to play the game..

The second solution which is way easier but is still a pain to do.. is to set my displays on one screen in Windows display settings => launch the game => and then extend my displays..

EDIT: Seems like i managed to fix the issue atm by enabling AMD Eyefinity in the AMD software => launching the game => Closing the game => disabling Eyefinity
I then disabled Radeon Freesync and managed to launch the game but i don't know if it had anything to do with fixing the issue since after re-enabling Radeon Freesync on " AMD optimised " i can still launch the game
I hope this might help someone having the same issue

EDIT 2: Had to redo the AMD Eyefinity trick for it to work today, no Radeon Freesync needed.. Seems like i'll have to do this each time i restart my computer but at least i only need to do this once then i can close and restart the game whenever i want

this discord except installing Mesa3D

#

Well, you should try

#

So far Mesa 3D solved almost all issues with OpenGL

Well i'll try it but if it means having bad performance it's kinda bummer =/

Yeah, it screws the performance

#

It depends on the size of the window with game - the smaller the window, the better fps you will get

#

With my Intel i7 2600k it gives 70 fps full screen.

#

If your cpu is more powerful than 2600k or equal then there will be absolutely no performance issues

yeah i've tried it a bit and i'm not a fan of having my processor at 100% ( even if it's not necessarily bad ) for f*cking Balatro just by principle =/

Been having this computer for a year.. never had any issue whatsoever with any recent games at max graphics and even some obscure mess in early access and it had to be the most basic card game who had to pose my first issue with it..

OK SO.. seems like i fixed the issue atm.. I was messing in AMD software Adrenalin with different settings for Balatro and i activated AMD Eyefinity ( which seems to combine multiple monitor to work as one ) and then launched the game and it managed to launch " normally ".. then i closed the game, disabled Eyefinity so my monitors wern't all messed up thinking it was a failure again and when i tried with another setting the game launched on my main monitor, no more error or anything.. the other setting was Radeon Freesync but i don't think it is what fixed the issue since i've reset the setting like it was before and the game is still launching..

sorry if my description is a bit messy, i'll add an edit in my main post
