#Excessive Heating MacOS

keep the horses in the stable, sis, it cannot and will not harm your hardware
if you want to help, give your mac's specs, so the dev can look into it
yeah ive had this same issue, i dont think its dangerous or anything but prob not good
i have a 2022(i think) macbook air m1
yes it can
The specs do not matter as this is a MacOS problem. All macs especially MacBooks suffer this.
the dev just needs to look at optimizing the MacOS version of the game.
That M1 air is a warrior
sis, you are out of your depth
believe me, it cannot. your mac will always shut down before any harm is done
what are you even talking about?
i play on mac, it runs perfectly fine
black swan right here
your sample is probably n=1
(and even if you’ve heard of multiple instances, stop overgeneralising, please)
nice google search computers have failsafes for overheating
Congrats the lucky you’re the lucky few
Unless it’s not on a MacBook
It’s logic💀 excessive heating still can cause damage
Fail safe is only when the computer gets to a specific temp
It’s a real problem
in any competent piece of hardware there will be temperature sensors near components vulnerable to heat degradation which will trigger throttling and/or immediate shutdown. if you think that one or more of the sensors in your mac aren't working, feel free to go through the RMA process with apple. it is not an issue with balatro if your components overheat past safe temperatures.
also, stop acting like you know that you're talking about, you sound like an idiot
also, rapid changes in temperature are just as damaging or more than prolonged periods of high heat
that's about the extent of my knowledge
It’s a MacOS problem
It’s really as simple as that
Its not optimized well
Ask yourself how can a game that takes no usage of CPU, GPU, or even memory start making the MacBook ramp up in fans and start overheating when you have games like Cyberpunk and Resident Evil Village run flawlessly with no problem
Nothing to do with hardware
It’s all optimization
