Hey y'all, I'm having a strange issue and nearly tearing my hair out over it. I'd just reinstalled Windows 11 fresh on my PC and I've been having weird lag spikes in the game after a decent amount of time. I noticed that the overlay's FPS meter begins to stack on top of itself, and when I tab-shift to open the overlay, it clears the lag and the FPS counter. This happens in fullscreen, windowed, and borderless, and is only happening to Balatro (at least for now). Installed the 566 drivers for my NVIDIA 2080 Ti and running Steam version 1733265492.

Tried without the overlay - it's also causing random lag spikes, so the overlay is not the culprit. With more time, I've also noticed that it's random too, sometimes not showing up until a half hour in, sometimes triggering within a few minutes.
😭
I've tried verifying files and reinstalling, no dice on either of those
I've also turned off G-SYNC because some of my other games weren't playing nice with those, but it also didn't help
Another attempt was forcing Windows to set it to high performance, but it acts identical with or without it set
reinstalled video drivers and deleted %appdata% files; at this rate I'm tempted to reinstall windows 11 again out of desperation
