#Save didn’t transfer from Apple Arcade to non-arcade

I played a TON of Balatro+ on Apple Arcade. Subscription ended but wanted to keep this game. So I spent the $10 to buy it only to find the save didn’t transfer.

Same device.
Never uninstalled Balatro+
Correctly logged into Game Center.
Wifi enabled.

Only thing I can think of is: at the time of launch Apple Arcade was not active sub. So maybe that’s related?

I remember seeing something like “loading cloud save” or “loading profile” or something at the very beginning of the non-Arcade version. But that was only 1 time and I haven’t seen that again even after uninstalling and re-downloading. Nor can I find how to retrigger that.

I also even tried re-subbing to Balatro+
Yup, progress on that is still there.
Uninstalled Balatro (non-arcade) and reinstall. Still nothing.

Any ideas on how to resolve or transfer the save data? Would hate to stop playing just cuz Apple Arcade ended 😦 especially given I just purchased the full game

Wait wait wait — literally just now seems to have transferred???

I was closing an opening randomly.

Idk if coincidence or what triggered it, but I closed Balatro, opened Balatro+, opened Balatro, I start seeing “Achievement unlocked”

So I guess nevermind this post? But I’m gonna leave it here in case anyone else needs to search and come across this. Hopefully nobody else does cuz that was a heart attack I didn’t see this Saturday morning hahaha

I had a similar issue, by deleting Balatro+ and reinstalling it again, it said “loading cloud save” and then it was completely empty, so lost all progress :’(

I’ve managed to make it trigger “loading cloud data” but that doesn’t cause the data to sync

Hopefully someone finds a solution to this that isn’t just “open balatro+ and then balatro and hope for the best”

Mine managed to sync right after I signed out and signed back into game center

I’ve never installed Balatro+ but had a Balatro+ save in my iCloud storage. Maybe that’s where the bug comes from?
