Hello! I'm currently planned to add a cross-mod compatibility support between my mod UnStable with this one, and since both of our mods introducing decimal ranks but with a different functions, I was wondering how would you prefer it to be done?
This wouldn't affect either of the mods when playing in isolation, so please don't worry. This is only when both of the mods are loaded together.

In UnStable, decimal ranks can act as both ranks of the lower and upper end, or itself in straight-based hands (so stuff like 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 3 is valid, so does 0.5 2 3 4 5, or 0.5, 1,2, 3, 4), but they cannot be played in Pairs with any other ranks unless a specific Joker is obtained.

Would you like me to add all the UnStable's functionality of the decimal ranks there to all the counterpart ranks (including the face card ones, so they became "face decimal card", which is "0.5" lower than their respective face card counterpart), or would you prefer me to keep their counterpart ability only operates as is?

Regardless of both options, I am thinking that all counterpart ranks will trigger the Joker that respond to the decimal card in UnStable by default.

I'm personally leaning towards the latter option myself because it's not intrusive your mod, so they can be played exactly like how the mechanic was initially designed.
But it could cause confusion to the player though because they are technically also a "decimal" rank. It's completely up to you, and I fully respect your decision!

I'm gonna keep rank 0 separated as is, though, as they have different ability entirely. (Besides probably adding the ability to be played in a straight hand similar to UnStable's 0)

All the additional codes will be done on my side, so you don't have to do anything. Please don't worry!

V1.2.1 is out!

There is some bug fixing in this version and support for the CardSleeve mod
Each deck now have a corresponding sleeve (don't look if you don't want to spoil yourself):

  • Mirror Sleeve: Not yet implemented
  • Calculus Sleeve: ||You also start with Axiom of Infinity and another Genie tarot card||
  • Starter Deck: ||You start with a rare joker and $0||
  • Cheater Deck: ||Cards have a 1 in 6 chance of having a seal, deck cannot destroy cards with a seal||

The main issue is with the Malverk-1.1.3a mod, which replaces card textures. During testing, enabling this mod alone, even without other mods, causes conflicts with Showdown. The problem specifically occurs when the texture option in Malverk-1.1.3a is turned on.

Additionally, there is a minor bug:
When Showdown and Partner-API-1.0.2g are used together, the language selection bubbles for cards on the start screen will appear on both the left and right sides.

the issue with the language selection bubble seems weir as I'm not touching it nor the main menu in any way (except jean-paul besides the ace but i doubt this could be the cause)

Unfortunately, I just tried to reproduce it and got the same situation as you now. It crashes directly without any error message. The previous error was an infinite loop, but now it just crashes immediately.😫

I'm not sure what went wrong either. My mods are still the same as before... it might be because I updated some of the mod versions.

fixed the game closing when clicking on the texture button. I searched in the discord and the bug already happened once and according to the dev that found the issue, it happened when take_ownership was used on the base Joker

i used it for an easter egg with a joker but since this is a bit buggy overall i removed it entirely

Great, thank you very much. I can enjoy playing now! As for the main menu speech bubble issue we discussed earlier, I added a not self.hasSpeech check at line 288 in Partner-API-1.0.2g/partner.lua. This is because Partner-API's bubble positioning logic was overriding Showdown's. Now, by having Partner-API skip Showdown's bubbles, Showdown's own positioning can work properly.

The previous issue was that when both mods were enabled simultaneously, the dialogue box would appear on the left side of the card (blue box). After adding the check, the problem has been resolved, and it now displays in the correct position (green box).

Bro, I was just about to report a new issue when I saw you just pushed an update, you might have to get busy again, I think I found another problem related to the Card Sleeves mod.

The issue is: when hovering over Showdown's sleeves, its locked_loc_vars function returns nil when Stakes is enabled, which causes a crash due to missing colours parameter.

What I did: added return CardSleeves.Sleeve.locked_loc_vars(self) to the locked_loc_vars functions of the four sleeves (Mirror, Engineer, Chess, Slotted), so it can correctly return the parameters including colours .

In Boosters.lua line 398, the word end_consumeable is misspelled, which will cause an error and needs to be fixed.
I checked Decks.lua, where it is spelled as end_consumeable. However, in Boosters.lua:398, it's end_consumable, missing the letter 'e'.
