I thought they were just completely hidden and that sounded kinda dumb

i was thinking of spawning a black hole card and then for the secert ability, it destroys the 3 left most cards on black hole use
what if it destroyed cards and its secret ability was to make a black hole for every 5 cards destroyed

each card gives +5 chips, chip value increases per consecutive card played without discarding
it's like a barrage of chips
we thought that was pretty clever
for a secret effect i'm not too sure but my first thought was
if chip value is above 100, on the final hand of round, gain +5 hands and gives Xmult equal to remaining discards for the rest of the round, resets chip value at end of round
because you know, timestop, 5 second timestop, continues to incentivise not using discards
spends a "resource" to do so and can essentially save you from death
i still need to wrap my head around your system for the secret effects

i mean you could, it would just be a little confusing when it starts doing something random
the way warlord does it is nice cause it gives a little splash text to hint you towards it and then tells you what the effect is after it triggers once
fancy. the olympus mod has a couple of hidden effects but they are generally pretty basic

Alright, i had an idea for Killer Queen that is a bit complex
Every time a joker is triggered, there is a 1/2 chance for this joker to get x chip amout and x mult amount
Also, a 1/6 chance every time a joker triggers this, it "blows up" (destroying the joker) reseting the chip and mult but adds a little more to the chip and mult gain
plus eventually i want to add evolution so it can evolve and do something special with stray cat

and then sets its chip value to 0
it's a 5-hand timestop
gives 1.5x mult if you have 1 or less discards when it activates so its not useless if you have 0
i just couldn't get the hands and discards to change when I coded it

Mechanical Museum - whatever it touches, open up and becomes a mechanical robot (alla Pirates Of The Caribbean stone-crabs) - up to 3 selected card become metal cards
Weird Science - can warp the shape of anything, as long as it follows the laws of topology (no tearing/sealing, see "Humans are 7-holed donuts") - select 3 card, midde and leftmost become the rightmist rank
Free Bird - can make any object be pass-thru as if it wasn't there - 3 selected cards become wild cards
just use dx tarots it got ported to 1.0.0

Its up to preference and I think it is easier to read that way
i tested it in run and that is what i came up with
its kind of broken if you get it working all the time
could it potentially get a weaker effect, become rare and then evolve into its current ability after destroying joestar stands (which it does when blind is selected the same as c.dagger does but only destroying joestar stands, powering up its ability when it does, that's its secret ability)
you still have to work for it this way to justify its power level
i think it is too strong for rare but not strong enough for legendary
i mean, we could make a new rarity called stand and all of them can have that
so we dont have to debate of rarity lol
and make an arrow consumable that spawns them
that would come with its own issues because then the rarity will be all over the place with different stands being different power levels
this is an idea i had yeah there'd be one for each part which spawns jokers from that part specifically
but also this, if they all share a rarity they have to share a power level
some of these jokers so far are way stronger than others

there'd of course be more cards than just these, but that's what the arrow-like ones would do
what im saying, is that the tarot of effects, based on non-cannon stands, that would work like other consumables, with bearly a common theme, should be whitesnake discs
just make a config for non canon stands and have them be jokers
the only non canon stands would be OC stands, TWOH is the only "non-canon" stand that i'd consider including
and i'm really not sure what to do about TWOH

Idea for Golden Experience and GER
GE - Gain XMult depending on the interest cap. Increase cap by 1 when a boss blind is defeated.
GER - Same as GE but now you gain the blind reward an extra 3 times (Death Loop). And increase the cap gain to 2.
For future reference i have made evolution functions to use on jokers
I have came to a conclusion
I have always stated that i like mods that are very vanillish, and that i do not like mods that are overly not vanilla
this realization of JoJokers have became too unvanilla for me to enjoy it
I have nothing against you using my previously provided ideas and sprites, but i will not be providing any new ones of either
It's just that the "Joker Evolution" and the "Secret Abilities" is very unvanilla, to the point where i no longer find it a good mod (imo)

problem i have with it is that if you have like double tags or something it's just bad
it'll instantly use up all your double tags and you can't stop it
I didn't manage to record it but I found interesting thing. If you have "The World" joker, your boss blind is "The Joke" from Cryptid and you beat it with 2x requirements - instead of staying in the same ante or going straight to ante 8 - you'll advance into ante 7

There was some other minor stuff but I can't think of any other things off the top of my head

yeah his code is really confusing and I don't really know what to do with it
a lot of the jokers have become deprecated (mostly the probabilities on KQ/hey ya/tusk)
and D4C BADLY needs balancing
but his code is so strange I don't get it

the base code doesn't seem so bad but the infrastructure for the hidden abilities is the hard part
