According to all laws of modmaking, there is no way I (someone with no coding experience) should be able to make a Balatro mod.
The code needed to program in these jokers should be impossible to learn from scratch.
I, of course, try to make a mod anyway,
because miku -> AE_MikuHappy

This mod is planned to have at least 20 jokers, all based on Vocaloid/SynthV/(you get the idea) songs! I'll be writing down some of my other joker ideas in here too, but suggestions are welcome! (i also may need some coding help... miramiku_dead)

All art will (hopefully) be made by me. The 2 joker arts attached are ones I've already implemented (there are currently 3 other implemented jokers with no art yet), which are:

  • Tiny Me (Common)
    Adds 1/5th of base Chips value (from your poker hands) to Mult
  • Mesmerizing Joker (Rare)
    x3.9 mult, but flip and shuffle all jokers upon entering a blind

the other 3 currently implemented jokers with no art yet are:
Donut Hole (Uncommon)

  • x3 mult when scoring hand contains 5 card, only 3rd card scores

1, 2, Fanclub (Uncommon)

  • All Aces and 2s earn 2$ when scored and retrigger once

Ten-Faced (Uncommon but maybe Rare?)
Creates a random Spectral for every 10 face cards scored (Currently 0/10)

I went from barely knowing how to download a mod to publishing my first mod within a 2 week time frame. No coding or artistic experience, Bro if you want it, go get it! I 100% believe in you! Also you have some really cool Joker concepts 😎

I got this one working!
I had another one today, which is

Bitter Chocolate (Uncommon)
x2 mult and -100 chips,
+20 chips per round played

...but that joker's chip gain is BALLS BROKEN

TBH balatro is a pretty simple game to mod

All you need to be able to do is write some code into a text file and find examples of how to do stuff (either in game or in another mod)
