Thanks for reporting and sorry to hear this. Can I check if you had two runs going simultaneously, one on each device?
No, but when I went back to my phone there was an in progress run from before.
So, perhaps the in progress game on the phone prevented the cloud update from coming across in someway.
I think that is probably the case. We don't recommend having an in progress run on two devices at the same time, one will overwrite the other
Does anyone know if I star playing on my iPhone I can continue playing on my iPad the same run?
@zinc merlin - no, runs are saved locally, and progress transfers. So If you start a run on iPhone and move to iPad you will start a new run on the iPad, and you could overwrite your progress on iPhone i.e. any Jokers unlocked. We don't recommend simultaneous runs
So if we want to play on a different device you’d recommend us finishing the current run? I jump between devices a bunch so that’s somewhat inconvenient :/ for example if I’m playing on iPad and need to leave home I can’t continue on my phone, or even end the run early since there’s no option.

I can't confirm if there's any plan to change that or that's even doable, if that's just the way Apple syncing works. I'll make sure it's logged as feedback.
Thanks, I don’t think I’ve had this issue with other games like Splay the Spire that are cross platform on iOS/ipad
I am having the same issue – my phone and ipad saves are fully decoupled at this point. Not sure if there's some way to merge them back together
