Hey I have a question. I purchased the game on iOS (not through apple arcade). I played for awhile on my ipad and finished a run. I then opened it on my iphone to see if my progress transfered over. It didn't. and then to make it worse, I opened it back up on my Ipad and it lost all progress too. What did I do wrong? How can I get progress syncing across iOS?

It seems like the overall progress was saved for me between iPhone and iPad but not mid run status (couldn’t continue on iPad)

Can confirm the issue still exists on mobile.
In fact, this has also happened in my desktop version when I play on two devices. I have lost data both times on desktop and on mobile.

Sync is not working even with 3 devices logged properly on GAME CENTER and apple account.
Played a couple of games per device, each run had different achievments, stakes done - but nothing is sync between devices.
All attached to same WIFI.
Don't think that is expected since

Same here too. I beat spectral deck up to green stake on my iPhone, then lost all of my progress and unlocked cards/vouchers/etc when I logged back in on my iPad

But yeah, same issue you are all describing. Played on iPad for a couple seconds. Played on phone for dozens of hours. Made the mistake of opening my iPad after long sessions on my phone, some kind of sync happened.
Nothing on iPad.
Now all data on phone is gone.

I had a fun issue where I had a completed run pop up on my Mac but my iPhone progress had been reset. My Mac progress was erased shortly after 😎

I also lost all of my progress. It seems like a second save was created when I installed the Apple Arcade version on my Mac, replacing the original save with all but one deck unlocked. This happened across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Yep. This is a known issue. It’s reposted in several other threads. Dev is on vacay so no updates till they’re back. They always come through though.

I played for 2 weeks, but then my 5 year old cousin accidentally uninstalled the game. After reinstalling it, all my progress was gone. It seems like the progress might not be saving properly to the cloud as well?

the sync looks better on my side a bit better now (syncing with macbook properly) but granting achievements is not working
i.e. i've had +500 gold yesterday, got the new deck or joker but i don't have that achievement ticked (played on mac, not ticked on mac or iphone)

A few days ago, I started playing Balatro+ on Apple Arcade on my iPhone and made some progress over several days. Over the weekend, I wanted to continue on my MacBook (also using Apple Arcade) and share my screen on Discord. However, there was no progress synced on my Mac… At least I didn’t lose any progress on my iPhone. But a working sync would be nice

No, mainly because I don't have Arcade anymore. I had a trial and spent all that time playing Balatro+.
If the only solution to this is to pay Arcade again just "to check" if my save is still there... Well, it's problematic.
Over this past days I've read people with the same problem I've experienced, and most of them said that when they tried to log back in to Arcade (or in some cases to the device they were using before this happened) they found that their saved data from iCloud was gone, because the new saved data from the paid version of the game did override the old one.

I offloaded the app then reinstalled and my save was gone. It gets stuck on loading cloud save then it says “error”. I don’t have another apple device with balatro and I certainly have enough space in my iCloud.

I had the same issue. What I noticed is that when you go to Settings -> press your picture to go to iCloud -> iCloud -> storage, you can see your saved games and mine says Balatro+ but shows the thumbnail of the paid version. I have the paid version. Once I remove the game and went to the saved files on my iCloud, the thumbnail changed to the arcade version which is more pink. Once I installed the paid version it changed back to the paid thumbnail. But it kept displaying Balatro+. I reported this to support. Don’t know if this causes that the game can’t pull the save file since it’s stored under the arcade name.
The last one is after deleting the game. Mind you I did have the arcade version on my phone but removed it before purchasing the paid version. I also had deleted the arcade version of the save file. Maybe others with this issue can double check in their cloud storage to see they see Balatro or Balatro+

Yeah when you uninstall the paid version then go back to that location on your cloud where the save file is, you’ll see that the thumbnail changes to the arcade version (see my screenshot above). Once you install the paid version the thumbnail changes to the paid version. Still says Balatro+ however. So my guess is that the paid game doesn’t load or sync because it might be trying to pull from Balatro folder but there is none. Only Blatro+ which is the arcade version.
