I kind of want to help but I don't think I should with all the other mods I'm working on
I had the same idea a bit ago and didn't do it because of the same reason
I might help out anyway once I release familiar, because this seems like a fun idea
i love inscryption too but i honestly don't think i am the person u should go with
well if yall have suggestions that could help too :>
I have some ideas for some sigils, but others are appreciated
just some ideas I came up with
since sigils will be relatively hard to get, like seals through spectral cards, ive decided to make a joker that'll do 0.5x for every sigiled card in your full deck
Fecundity:
Playing this card creates a duplicate in your deck :)
Unkillable:
This card cannot be destroyed even though that sounds like eternal lol XD
Double Strike:
This card's abilities count two times :p
Airborne:
This card can be played regardless of the 5 card limit
Waterborne:
This card is always drawn upside-down xD
that'd be funny
Brood Parasite:
When played, this card creates a stone card in your hand but has a specified chance to not work :O
I was thinking this too but idk about permanently
basically return to hand when played
Honestly I think it'd be better to be permanent because normally fecundity is really op aside from Kaycee's Mod but it's entirely your decision!!! :D
that'd be hard to code, could act like if you had splash

Not playing this card after one hand has been played raises its assigned value by 1 (like if it was a Jack it'd become a Queen) :D

This card acts as if there are two of them when scoring (so one would be considered a pair) :)
I was thinkin making that more powerful just adding chips to it

Double Strike would just apply the chips twice they're really similar ik lol bifurcation would apply the card twice but not necessarily for scoring but rather to create pairs but Double Strike instead gives double chips!!! XD
Tidal Lock:
When this card is played, play all cards in your hand XD
They are Double Strike is in Kaycee's Mod its okay if you don't know about it!!! :)

IOOOO these are so cool!!!!!!!! I love these I need to read some of them i didn't know what Sprinter could do lol I have lots of Balatro ideas too for a mode I'd want to create but my lack of Lua knowledge is preventing me from doing it though it'd be like a Balatro mode where you don't redeem vouchers but you have a special currency that lets you redeem them forever and I have lots of ideas for entirely new ways to make them but Trinket Bearer may be one of my favorites you have it's really clever and cool too!!!! :DDD

I really really wish I knew how to make it I think people would really like it it'd be very expansive too but in its own mode also dw if you only know basics ik you'll be able to achieve your idea if you keep trying you're always welcome to take breaks too!!!! :D
that and many lives i think will be great for purple seals and castle value

i chose seals bc these will be very similar to them

I was watching roffle play cryptid's encoded deck and realized they have a similar thing to these sigils, the rigged tag thing
imma find that code at some point to see the implementation
i believe that is still a seal
nah cuz it didn't replace the red seal and even roffle was confused
meaning it aint
if u put a different seal on a sealed card, it replaces the seal

yea, like just make a new one by setting the name of it to anything. i use it with dual suit cards
you can just kind of put anything there and it adds it as an ability then you can check for it to calculate
set_sprite_suits is a function I made btw, it's not hard to make functions that do it you just really need the position where the sprite is going

which means that when we add more like it, they will be able to stack

im a bit confused about how to load another lua file

im finding it really difficult to get the variables/objects from the other file, might just put all the sigils in the main file lol
not sure what info_queue is, but im pretty sure i can use this function to create a table of the sigils to use in the spectral card
might hace to make the sigil its own object and calculate based on which one it is

Touch of Death: Balances chips and mult after scoring is finished if this card is scored. Destroys the card after scoring.
Fledgling: If this card is held in hand at the end of round, this card gains a random enhancement, edition, and seal. This sigil is then removed from the card.
Hoarder: Draw extra cards equal to your hand size when discarded.

Unkillable: This card is returned to your hand after being played.
Many Lives: This card cannot be destroyed. If you attempt to destroy this card 9 times, remove this debuff and give *5 mult. (or some other good buff)
Worthy Sacrifice: +50 chips to all other cards held in hand when destroyed. (may need adjustment.)
Bifurcated Strike: This card is retriggered once.
Trifurcated Strike: This card is retriggered twice.
Trinket Bearer: Gain a random consumable when scored.
Amorphous: When this card is drawn, this sigil is replaced by a random sigil. (Literally just pasted from inscryption wiki)
Omni Strike: Retrigger this card once for every card held in hand when scored. If there are no cards held in hand, *5 mult. (may be a liiitle op :3)
Leader: The card to the left and right of this card in hand gain +10 chips when played.

Fecundity: When this card is played, a copy of it without the fecundity sigil enters your hand. (almost also just pasted from the wiki)
Bone King: +4 mult to all other cards held in hand when destroyed.
Sharp Quills: +5 chips and +1 mult when discarded.
Guardian: This card is always considered the first card in hand, even if it is not.
Repulsive: This card is immune to any debuffs.

Frozen Away: this card is changed to a different random card when discarded. Has a chance of also giving it a random enhancement, edition, or seal.
Steel Trap: Remove all cards held in hand, including itself if held in hand at the end of the round. When this happens, level up your most played hand by 5 levels. (may need a change.)
Stinky: Permanently -3% blind size when scored.

actally i had ideas for debuffing sigils i forgot to do
maybe some that can be introduced in like a stake or something
Airborne (Debuff): All score types this card gives are directly added to your total score rather than to chips or mult.
Sprinter (Debuff): When this card is played, all cards in your hand and held in hand will be shuffled.
Dam Builder (Debuff(?)): When this card is scored, add 2 stone cards to your hand.
Waterborne (Debuff): This card doesn't score directly. (IE: if this card is a foil ace and you have scholar, the foil and the +11 chips are negated, but the joker still gives the chips and mult, as it isnt directly from the card.)
Hefty (Debuff): When this card is played, all cards in your hand and held in hand will be shuffled. The card to the right (or left if nothing is present) of this card in hand is destroyed.
Tidal Lock (Debuff): When played, all cards held in hand become debuffed for the rest of the round.

Brittle (Debuff): This card is destroyed after scoring.
Handy: +1 discard when scored.
Detonator (Debuff): When this card is destroyed, the 2 cards to the left and right of this card are destroyed aswell as a random Joker.
Sentry: This card gains +1 chip per card scored while it is played. (if played with 5 cards and one has a red seal, this card will gain 6 chips, as the total triggers your cards had were 6, and it was played.)
Bomb Spewer (Debuff): If card is played in a hand that has less than 5 cards, fill your played hand with random cards with the Detonator sigil until you have a 5-card hand.
Double Death: Every card that is destroyed while a card with this sigil is present will grant you money equal to half of it's rank truncated. (Faces=10)

Legendary
p03: this joker gains x0.25 mult when an ace of clubs is played (rank changes every round)
grimora: this joker gains +30 chips when an ace of hearts is played (rank changes every round)
leshy: adds an enhanced random card with a random sigil to your hand every 6 turns
magnificus: 1/4 chance to add x0.25 mult to this joker when an ace is played
Rare
goobert: this joker gains +15 chips every time a card with a sigil is played
lonely wizard: 1/5 chance to add a random enhancement to the card in the current played hand if the current hand is only one card
Ouroboros: when a card is played, 1/6 chance to draw it again
Uncommon
Royal Dominguez: this joker gains +40 chips when a stone card is played
Kaycee: when a joker is sold, this card gains x0.1 mult (starts at x1.2 mult)
Tarot Cards
The Limoncello: converts a random joker into Goobert, Lonely Wizard, Royal Dominguez, or Kaycee
Ijiraq: gives up to 2 cards a random edition
Steel Trap: converts 4 random cards in your deck to steel cards, after being played/discarded, they turn into stone cards
those legendaries arent that great. maybe leshy is good but idk about the rest
