Previously disabled joker was mime, and duplicated two steel twos with the brainstorm. I'm guessing diabling merry andy led to this one.

that’s not what happened, i had a hand size of 8, dna duped twice putting me at 9, then the scoring finished, disabled merry andy, and i drew a card despite having 9/9

This bug is actually also present in chicot
If you have 2 chicots on the manacle it will give you an extra hand size and also draw 2 extra cards
Not sure why exactly it happens but i know it does happen when you gain handsize via disabling negative handsize
So yeah it was because merry andy was disabled

It's not the same bug that happens with chicot.
Chicot bug is specific to the chicot code, it's to do with how chicot is programmed.

Disabling Andy causes the game to draw you a card to hand, to make up for the hand size lost before disabling the card.
