Game Starts but Cannot Select any of the Home Screen Options when using Mouse | Balatro | Page 1

When launching the game, the home screen will show, but I am unable to interact with any of the home screen options and the keyboard shortcut to open the Steam Overlay does not work either. The only way to exit the program is by using Task Manager. I have uninstalled the game twice and installed it in both my local storage and an external SSD with no luck.
When launched in Steam with Big Picture Mode and using a controller, the game functions as normal.
I am running the game through steam with no mods installed, and this is a new bug for my system as I have played with my mouse and had no issues previously. I tested with other games I play through Steam and none of them have this issue.
Mostly wanted to make the bug known and my "fix" for it, but it's a little frustrating given that I prefer to play with my mouse.

Edit: Meant to add that I'm playing on release 1.01f-FULL

Update: Left the game open on another monitor while I wrote this and when I clicked back into it, the screen flashed black for a moment, and then the mouse worked again. Tested it and it seems like if I launch the game, "tab out" to launch another application (like discord) and then click back into my second monitor that the issue goes away. Weird to say the least, but it's working for now. :))

I gotta sleep since its past midnight on a school day but my only guess is game doesnt register your mouse because it thinks you are tabbed out or smthing. Im not good at these type of bug reports so Im probably wrong but who knows, I could be right and make myself a genius

possibly this is some regression elsewhere, given Balatro didn't update?
