Pepole should be able to pin the link for mods, and if pepole are unresponsible/pin everything they could have a role that is normal but cant pin.

This is a bit unfortunate, but probably won't be changed due to the way Discord permissions work. Permissions for pinning messages can't be given to only the author of a post automatically, and giving everyone permission to Manage Messages in this forum will allow not only pinning arbitrary messages, but also deleting anyone's messages

actually I was thinking I could probably make a discord bot that would allow people to pin, assuming the mod's wanted to add it

I know on the Archipelago server thread starters can be given permission to pin on their own threads. No idea why it can't be done here
