Receiving these errors when trying to launch the game after updating my AMD drivers yesterday.
PC hardware:
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
32 GB DDR5
Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB
AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT

I'm also assuming you've tried to restart windows properly?
actually, this seems to be a recurring issue on AMD gpus (see here https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/some-opengl-games-crash-on-before-startup-on-23-7-2-and-higher/m-p/680365 for example)

yeah just rolled back the drivers and it works now

yes it seems but that's weird because no man's sky which is using opengl too is working with the latest driver

there are different versions of openGL

Yeah there have been two updates since this problem and still having the same issues on those
So I'm still three updates behind currently

if anyone is llooking for a temp fix, use Radeon Super Resolution in AMD Adrenalin. Set it to borderless windowed in AMD and you should be able to launch it
at least thats how i was able to bypass the error

You can try Mesa 3d wrapper, it uses cpu for rendering, skipping all GPU-related issues. But the fps may be really low

I ran into this problem today, tried all the ways from running the application with administrator rights to reinstalling the game and restarting the computer. I saw your decision, did as it says in the instructions for the file, and balatro finally worked. Oh my God, I'm really tired of trying to fix the problem of the game crashing, thank you bro.🥹
