Mr. Bones + Verdant Leaf + Discarding to no cards left to play

For the sake of science, I decided to discard down to 0 cards remaining in deck and hand, after reaching 87k/200k needed, because I had Mr. Bones to save me. I also had 1 extra hand and 1 extra discard remaining when I ran out of cards, the game stopped for a moment, and then said "saved by mr. bones" like it usually does, and then the game over screen showed up, saying I lost the run to the ante 8 boss, but also says I reached ante 9. If this is not a bug, then don't worry about it, but figured I should share this just in case it is, because it feels like a bug.

After laughing hysterically at the situation I willingly put myself into for a solid 10 minutes, I then returned to replay the green stake I both won and lost at the same time to this. It DID in fact count the win, as black stake is unlocked now, so my theory is that the game got EXTREMELY confused by this wildly niche science experiment that I ran, and had me both win and lose at the exact same time, from what I can only assume is there being no "check to see if player somehow beat the round while also discarding out of cards" failsafe thing in the code or however that would work, so it ran the win and lose scenarios at the same time instantly after one another. If this is or is not what happened please do let me know, it still feels like a bug, albeit a very niche one. If it is not a bug and I have false posted I do apologize, I simply wish to make this known just in case it is 💙
