While I was attempting the Golden Needle challenge which limits you to one hand, I noticed that I suddenly had two hands remaining instead of one. This was even stranger because I was on the Boss Blind "The Needle" that also limits your hands to one. This wasn't just a visual glitch; after beating the blind I got money for having a hand remaining.
This happened on two separate runs of this challenge and both times I had the Troubadour as one of my jokers. On the first run I took it as a joke thinking it would drop my hands to zero and lose me the game, but after I exited the shop, my hands went from 0 to 1. The game had given me an extra hand, negating the downside. I took it on subsequent runs because of this and so I noticed this bug was consistent (forgot to take screenshots though).
I think what is happening is the game is calculating the amount of hands you have in the wrong order. The Needle sets your hands to one, Troubadour doesn't take away a hand because you already have the minimum, and then the game adds an extra hand to counteract Troubadour not realizing you already have only one hand.
Regardless, it was pretty handy for beating the challenge.
