I agree with orion1334, 1 in 3 is a probability of 33%, or 0.33, so seems correct to me.
Odds are like 3:1, 3 "chances" to win versus 1 "risk" to loose, giving a probability of 75% to win.
On the cards it's probabilities, not odds
I'm being silly here but 1 in 3 is a chance, 33% is a percentage, and 0.33 is a probability.
I'm being pedantic so it's not a big deal!
the first 2 all represent the probability of the event occuring and all with the same ratio. the correction was just stating that odds and probability are represented with different ratios
