Error on new install | Balatro | Page 1

I just bought and installed the game, but it refuses to launch, giving this error. I've already tried both uninstalling and verifying the game files, neither have worked.

(this is a very uneducated guess based on the error message you're getting)
It seems like your save file accidentally got written to twice, aka it has 2 saves in a single save file, which the game can't handle.
Try deleting your save file at %appdata%/Balatro/1/save.jkr and re-verifying the game files.
If that doesn't work you can also try deleting the entire folder at %appdata%/Balatro and re-verifying the files.

I don't have a save.jkr in the 1 folder, the only thing there is meta.jkr

I can try to delete the Balatro folder and verify, thought I did that already but can't hurt to do it again
