Not really a bug, but it seems that whatever math function is moving the selected card around, seems to very slowly stretch them, which results in this funny visual 
The game was left on for around a few days while the console was in sleep mode, which is probably why it managed to end up like this, so it's not an issue in normal gameplay. Selecting a different card reset the queen to the normal position and size.
Makes me wonder how far you can go, if you were to leave the game on for a month or so lol
