Trying to think of some Dragon Ball Themed Items. Expect me to reference everything from OG/Z/Super/GT/Extrended Multiverse (games/OVAs/etc) Down the line.

For now here are all the characters that will have a Blind

  • Vegeta (Saiyan Saga)
  • First Form Frieza (Namek)
  • Perfect Cell (Cell Saga)
  • Buuhan (Buu Saga)
  • Red Ribbon Army Logo (For OG Dragon Ball)

Some Planets:

  • Vegeta

  • Vampa | +2 to most played hand, increase next blind requirement by 10%

I was thinking with the Planets of doing something different than the typical planets focusing on played hands only.

For Jokers, I think either events or characters are fine, dunno exactly what. Input is appreciated.

I do want decks to be in this too, so we could theme the decks off characters or groups.

my professional opinion:

it'd be pretty cool

could just be called an upgrade capsule

#

say there's like 4 tiers of jokers depicted by a new tag on a joker
if you use an upgrade capsule on a tier 1 joker it costs $5 and tier 2 costs $10 etc
they'd be pretty common to get out of packs, but they arent an instant take every time because of their extra initial cost

and then there could also be a tier 1/2/3 capsule which have corresponding initial costs and give a random joker from that tier

#

(when i say "costs" i mean that the capsule itself takes away that much money when you use it, along with its upgrade effect)

this allows representation for every iconic dragon ball transformation

without adding like 7 different gokus on 7 different jokers

also gotta be a soul-like legendary capsule

which makes a random max tier joker
these could either be accessible through like 7 upgrades or through this capsule, being the strongest forms of characters like UI and UE for goku/vegeta for example

and this mod could then also be compatible with the fusion jokers mod and have dragon ball fusions in it

im also thinking what if jokers in this mod had a number of charges on effects which reset after a boss is defeated
this is something that would make the gameplay of this mod a lot more unique, something like this for example:
+10 mult. Effect disabled after 3 hands. Refreshes after Boss Blind.

which would also add an extra value to scale for upgrading jokers which makes them easier to balance since there's more values to tweak per joker

this also reflects the high stamina cost on certain forms, say super saiyan 3 for example having a powerful effect with a low number of charges

if this happens then having the ability to enable/disable joker effects would be a necessity, perhaps a "use" button prompt that appears on each joker, with the joker being dimmed slightly when it is disabled

im just spitballing here lmk what you think when you're around

as for jokers

ive had an idea for final explosion floating around in my head for awhile

the longer you keep it, the more it charges, and then when you sell it something happens

that would technically work for any move that can be charged

#

but final explosion fits the theme of a sell joker

future trunks could tell you which boss is after the next boss at tier 1
depends if you're leaning more towards theming joker effects around the thing they're based on or not

will always appreciate extra boss counterplay

kaioken is a technique and not a transformation so i think it's better on its own joker over being a goku tier

One idea before i passed out: You start off buying base forms in the shop, and then after certain criteria are met, they transform randomly

With lower forms being more likely than higher forms

#

But the higher forms give you insane stuff

Complete Base Goal: Transforms into SSJ, SSJ into SSJ2, SSJ3, then have 2 goals for SSJ3 Goku or SSJ2 Vegeta to either get SSJ4 (SSJ4 ends it) or SSG. SSG goes into Blue, Evolution (if Vegeta) and UI Sign for Goku, Ultra Ego for Vegeta and Ultra Instinct for Goku

I think it's better to remove SSJ4 and put it on a separate GT goku to spread out the upgrades a little more, it could take waaay too long to get through upgrades if there's too many.

UE = 4x (2x and 2x for UI sign and Mastered UI since UE = MUI in power relatively)
