Hello guys! I've been working on a new joker pack because I wanted to give art a go and I also had a billion joker ideas stockpiled. At the moment only a few of them have been implemented, but expect a lot more in the fututre. I haven't playtested this thoroughly yet, so do let me know if you discover any bugs or unusual behaviour. This mod will not include anything other than jokers (e.g. enhancements, seals etc.) with one exception later on. Anyways, not much else to say so have fun with the mod!

out of curiosity, does Betmma's Piggy Bank act like the CheesyJokers' Piggy Bank? (ie. does it gain sell value when another joker/consumable is sold?)
it looks like both share the same function name (SMODS.Jokers.j_piggy_bank.calculate) so it wouldn't completely surprise me if one overrode the other

For some reason, maybe how you packaged the joker pictures together compared to all the other mods I have doing it separately, your images aren't showing up for your jokers. I'm running rick of relics in addition to yours, and I'm thinking that because all their jokers are on separate png files, it's screwing with yours being on one singular png.

yeah, it only works for jokers at the moment, it seems really difficult to make it work for scoring hands

To Do List managed to change it's hand type, but I'm not sure if it was meant to be included in the list

If someone needs a temporary fix for this mod's piggy bank, replace its name with something else in the code file and asset folder (since it clashes with Betmma's one)
I Think high-score is bugged, it gives me the 7 bucks regardless of score (?) though I have the jank jonklers mod added with a j oker that reduces the score by 10 percent per played hand

also frozen is an uncommon now and scales twice as fast

Also from my own experience, Amoeba is so good, the amount of x2 and money I get from it is good, iirc I won a game with one joker and 4 copies of amoeba, I'd keep selling 2 amoeba before selecting a blind for free money 😄

Betmma has a joker called "Piggy Bank" and it calls it to do stuff with params that yours doesn't have
Either you have to change its name or ask Betmma to change the way his joker is checked
i did change its name though, in the base code not the localization

I just made another file somewhere and drop the mods there and that tends to work
it doesn't look like sixsuits/bunco mess with get_suit directly, it just overrides flushes with spectrums, which isn't the problem here

The planet keep coming back is hilarious

However, It doesn't clone DX planets with Deluxe Tarot mod. (It does clone other non-vanilla planets)
it clones anything that's registered in-game as a planet. if it doesn't do other stuff that planets in the base game do (e.g. get copied by fool, level up constellation, etc.) then it won't get affected
idk if there's a reason deluxe planets aren't considered planets, but i probably shouldn't try to override that, seeing that the modder would have had to specifically set them not to be considered planets
did you have 92 negative jokers or something? it's not supposed to set your joker slots that low

I just tested this myself and while it might not clone DX planets, it does clone the polychrome or other editions that are on it, and with oops all 6s and extraterrestrial, you can basically win since... well you can do times 1.5 for forever on loop. Have fun with this Infomation

There's a conflict with Betmma Piggy Bank and this Piggy Bank because Betmma does a name check for Piggy Bank

changing the name to something else like "Piggybank" or "BASTARDT" seems to fix it
the name is different in the code though, just the display name is the same

well, first i racked up a few millions of cash with the piggy bank, i got multiple piggy banks through a cine card, basically doubling my cash till i had enough, and with the reroll of packs though a betmma voucher, i was able to open the voucher packs from betmma to then use blank vouchers for the antimatter, and i did that a few times, and the extra universe is something i got through Ankh
now you just gotta make it so that it fuses 😉
why tf are cine cards so op with modded jokers?
probably because they are made in mind that only one exists, not multiple, especially multiple dozens. like imagine multiple dagonets from mikas mod. like 2x all values on jokers but have ten dagonets and you got 1024x joker values, now combine that with any increasing xMult and you won

I've been having a weird crash using Treasure Map. I got rid of all the mods I had and made sure your mod was the only one enabled. Besides Treasure Map I had two base Jokers (Crazy Joker, Hiker).
I played a hand of 2 to 6 (straight) which had some debuffed clubs in the mix which when played gives me the crash that I've shared. If you have any other questions just let me know!

There's an incompatibility with the Reverie Mod : Having CheesyJokers in the modlist causes Reverie's Exchange Coupons to be unable to progress and ultimately turn into cine cards

Hi! I was checking the incompatibility with Reverie and found the cause of it
Progressing of Cine cards is also done in Card:calculate_joker, but self.ability.set ~= 'Joker' of line 1422 prevents it from being executed as Cine cards have Cine as set
the hubris ran extra deep in that moment

yeah i have a fix for that already. i just renamed it from 'Piggy Bank' to ' Piggy Bank '

In 1.0.0, most joker effect (add_to_deck, removed_from_deck, update etc...) can be put inside said joker object (instead of overriding existing functions) so that'll fix it later

unfortunately i haven’t been able to work on the 1.0 port for a while, i’ve just had lots of stuff happening irl and not much motivation. i do enjoy creating the jokers, so if another programmer here would be willing to help me with the port then i’ll absolutely continue to add to the mod, otherwise you might just need to wait a while.

just to let you know though, klein bottle joker uses a lua debug hook to function, and with the amount of mods using lovely injections it could easily cause some weird behaviour with other mods installed
just got it in a run. Nonfuctional but nothing breaks

Hi, Hot Air Balloon will have issues with mod added suits. You can replace "string.sub(_card.base.suit, 1, 1)" with SMODS.Suits[_card.base.suit].card_key" or look into SMODS change_base function.

im really enjoying playing with these so far :3 i will say i think extraterrestrial is like crazy strong (i know it technically does cap out, but i havent lost a run ive had with this joker LOL) and sticker sheet is straight up just an upgrade to certificate which feels a little weird, although i love the art for it and think the idea is neat
businessman seems pretty weak numbers wise as well? super cool concepts though, i wish there were more opportunities to make use of things like corrugated iron and engraving because those are such sick ideas
