if you play a stone card with vampire the card has a rank and a stone background. doesnt look intended

"Stone" is an enchantement. All stone cards have a hidden rank and suit, removing the enchantment reveals it and the stone card is permanently changed into that. Unless you mean just the visual graphic of the card alone?
