probably better off using anime girls that already exist for a mod that literally won't get struck for "copyright issues" than AI generating ones yourself, unless you're asking for people to get mad at you

its a mod, people put copyrighted shit in video games all the time. fair use and all that. you have nothing to worry about

idunno if this would help at all but I did make an HD tag based on the original design from sprites (tried to convert it as best to HD as I could)
all you would need to do is just put the logo in and you're done
same with an example of an HD Spectral tag
Updated enhancers and added the splash screen

I mean, putting the lua files in the mod directory doesn't work for me
i guess you need to link the tile with the textures somehow

Oh. Sorry. I don't use discord a lot and I missed the conversation.
I have to check if everything is updated, but the way to install this is a little complicated. You need to download the files, then you go to the balatro folder and open balatro.exe with 7.zip (if you have 7-zip installed, just right click it in explorer and select open compressed file).
Then you only need to drag every file to the corresponding folder, just checking that the names are the same (they will be overwritten). Images go in the resources/2x folder. Font in resources/font folder. And then you have global.lua to root folder and ui.lua to engine folder.
I'm going to upload now all the files again to make sure you have the latest update.
First images, those go to resources/2x folder
More images, same folder as previous
new font. To resources/fonts folder
Ui file for round corners. Copy to engine folder
And finally globals file (only change is the color of the suits in text to match the new ones, This goes to the root folder.
I know it's too much work if you are not used to it. I just can't figure how to make an installer for this. I hope it was explained well, but if someone needs more help I'm here, but you need to send me a direct text or I don't get a notification. 😄
Also, it's a good idea to make a backup of balatro.exe before overwriting inside the file. If you mess up you can always change to the betatesting channel of Balatro in steam and the game will autoupdate, then you can revert to normal channel if you don't want to use it.
You can use this one. No anime, just the vanilla with the colours and style. ^^

It's not perfect, because I have to tweak a few things (the Spear in te Balatro Title has some white areas and the suit Jokers need to be adjusted the colours to my suit colors). But it works fine as it is for now. I'll post an update when I can finish it. Enjoy! 😄

Unless they change this, if you click on any image and select "open in browser" you get the original file.
Ah, well it's definitely a png and there's an alpha channel. but it's hard to tell if there was a lossy webp intermediate or if it's just anti-aliasing on your part

Its antialiasing alreadybon the original image. Take in account that the source images were super hires, and I had to resample down to game resolution, hence the artifacts. It has nothing to do with discord. If you look at past images in this same channel, all are pixel perfect. It's just that in this case the images are hand drawn.

Well, you can ask Zakosek for the original files, I don't think it's aproppriate to share them without asking first. I'm pretty sure Zakosek will say yes, though. ^^
But be aware that the hi res layout is not the original one. You will need to manually position each one again.
Also the higher res will have the advantage of making it look a lot less like they're just the default sprites with pixel smoothing. I know they're not, but so much detail is lost in downscaling a lot end up looking like it

I suggest scaling to 500x700 or 300x420, to preserve detail without being unreasonable

nah I didn't bother, but it should be rendered pretty much exactly the same as on the sprite sheet

Tried to add this mod and can't get it to work at all, I'm trying to install it in a steammod mods folder
I just did it manually by replacing the engine and texture files and it worked fine. Have you tried doing it manually by opening balatro in 7zip or winrar?
i followed the instructions as per written in here and tried the collected one to no avail

i honestly couldn't say i installed it like any other steammodded mod and put the compiled version someone made into my mods folder and it didn't like it for some reason
Interesting! Maybe it just needs to be updated to match the new Friend of Jimbo stuff. I know it crashed if you try to add those cards

thought i would help
I didn't do anything overtly special. Matter of fact I cheated. I just used the Balatro95 Mod as a baseline and then renamed the textures files appropriately. I could have been less lazy and renamed every single line of code in the Lua file but uh someone else can do that. I would just rather credit the homies who made the art made the mod made the 95 mod etc. I just put it together and put the custom font mod with the right font file in with it.
You should just be able to drag and drop the HD folder and Custome Font folder into your mods and call it a day. Unsure how this works with the blueprint copy mod or anything else you may have installed. Enjoy me being a weird problem solver.
It has the painted jokers and the HD everything else. I think I remembered everything hopefully

its a fantastic texture pack however, for example square joker is glitched because its full size when its supposed to be a square, and wee joker has its stake sticker hanging off of it but thats about it
riperoni that wouldnt be something i would know how to fix unless we get a new sprite sheet
