I created a small template for people that want to add jokers to the game but don't exactly know where to start.
The way I first learned how to add jokers was by looking at other peoples mods and I found it hard to figure out which part of the code was needed for a joker to work.
Please feel free to make suggestions on how to make the templates even easier to understand and use.
Anyway, here is my first template for jokers. I might add templates for tarots, seals etc. in the future.

No problem, I hope this template is helpful to you. It might not explain how to add specific effects, but its a nice starting point to get your jokers into the game

The mod I'm helping with wont add any "new" joker effects to the game per say. It's for something called archipelago. tl;dr it's a bunch of randomized games that send items and unlocks between each other. The current implimentation idea has it so that you can roll cards that instead of them being a joker/tarot/etc they're an unlock or item for you or someone else's game somewhere in the archipelago multiworld

it's good to have this in an actual example mod format, and we sure need to update the example mods that are currently present
https://github.com/Steamopollys/Steamodded/wiki is still being worked on, but it has the general format for jokers, consumables and vouchers with explanations what each parameter does
