In the pictured setup, both Madness and Dagger will trigger and increment. At the time of the screenshot with popcorn, they are 11.5x and +30 mult. After selecting the blind, they become 12x and +34, both "consuming" popcorn. (I wish I'd realized this sooner in the run!) I noticed this during a previous blind, and then double checked by typing the first sentence with those numbers, selecting the blind, and then typing the new numbers -- both definitely incremented.

Madness actually did not destroy popcorn. In the description Madness gains xMult first then try to destroy something. So you can have madness alone and Madness still scales

^ madness does not require a joker to scale. As long as dagger is leftmost, it will destroy a joker before madness, allowing you to scale both
