Cool mod, I wanna know if I can change the buttons to mouse buttons, I know keyboard is supported but mouse is more specific.

not with the current code. but i looked into it and managed to set it to middle mouse button. i can either send you my file with instructions or can update the github repo in probably ~3 days

• Added some extra functionality. It automatically selects full houses and cycles thru them. Its pretty good

Hope you don't mind me posting this here for other controller users - I made a steam community controller profile that makes modded Balatro more comfortable by adding mouse emulation and useful hotkeys, including the card selection hotkeys added by this mod. If anyone wants to try it (especially to test), search for "Controller+ for Modded Balatro" in the community layouts on steam. Right trigger is used as a modifier button. While holding RT, X/Square selects flush, A/Cross selects groups (e.g. full house), Y/Triangle inverts selection, B/Circle deselects, LB sorts by rank, RB sorts by suit, and LT opens deck view. Left stick can be used as a virtual menu for the same functions. Right stick emulates the mouse. Holding LB/RB resets the run.

Hello! Thanks for the mod, it looks interesting, I'm going to try it out.

It would also be very useful if the list of shortcuts that are set by default and how to customise it was added to the mod description inside the game. In the place where you can enable and disable mods, there is a version of the mod, who the author of the mod is, and so on.

Updates:

  • Added in-game config for rebinding keys
  • Wild cards are now automatically selected while selecting flushes
  • Removed balamod support (that means i needed to bump the major version right)
  • Now requires steamodded as a dependency

Things that i might implement:

  • Hotkeys for straights
  • Sort hand hotkey, puts steels and kings in the end etc.
  • Perhaps adding a "select junk" hotkey. Right now if you wanna play 3oak you need to manually pick 2 bad cards to get rid of your hand
  • Perhaps hotkeys for modded hand types. I gotta look at them first. I think one hotkey looping through modded types could be better.
  • Your suggestions

I didnt exhaustively tested the mod or checked compatibility with other mods, lmk if there are any issues

Also thanks Handy dev for writing a really good GUI! I copied some parts of it

  • Added a hotkey for selecting straights.

I suppose making a meta kotkey that cycles through all of the options would be good now

Version 1.0.4

  • Merged the 3 hand hotkeys into one. Now it cycles through all of them. Unwanted ones can be disabled in the config (see the image).
  • If one card is elected and hotkey is pressed, it selects the best hand containing the card. Also works for multiple cards. This used to be a flush only mechanic (i didnt know it didnt work on oaks)
  • Fixed 6 card run straights ruining cycling mechanic
  • Fixed eating text inputs

  • Fixed A-5 straight not detecting, i swear i know that its the easiest mistake to make with straights but i had the bug introduced in the last release

for some reasons, in this line up, pressing F select a High Card
pressing it again then select the 3oak

shouldn't it select 3aok first or am I missing something ?

ah. I think it'd look unsavory doing unseeded wr attempts with a literal cheat overlay opening on screen when I'm grinding ante ones. I appreciate the offer though.

The old version of flush I have here compatible with lovely works for now, it's just missing straights

there's a demo video in the repo, the keyboard overlay in that video is just OBS, but the gameplay itself looks like playing with a controller

Just submitted a pull request, adding support for other mods that add cards with no rank or no suit, as those would still tend to be selected when using hotkeys
