Nexus mods is fine for now, no need to try to host it elsewhere, might as well wait for the mod loaders to finish their internal hosting so you don't have to do it twice

I'm not going to upload my files on discord.
Plus if you want to get into modding another game in the future nexusmods is great to search for mod.
Uploading on nexusmods makes it have more visibility and will bring more people that want to mod their game.
Plus nexusmods awards their modder

I just really strongly dislike it because it requires an account to function (download mods) which really is not a good privacy practice, and its really inconvenient. it took me 10~ mins to download that mod, it should take me 2 mins maximum.

using nexusmods is silly, as you're just locking out users who want to get access to mods, who dont want to use that platform

Nexusmods is the biggest platform out there.
It rewards mod author and it's way easier to explore mods than on a fricking discord posts.
I trust nexusmods and they trust me back.
If people want to mod their game easily in the future they'll have to go through nexusmods anyway

I know nexusmods is huge for other games, but balatro only has 22 mods on there, which says a lot

github is a great and better alternative, and once steam workshop support is a thing, I cant imagine anyone bothering with nexusmods

all im saying is its a shame to lock a great mod behind a mandatory sign up

I'm pretty sure no Steam workshop support will come.
Github is cool for sharing some code once, it's not good for exploring.
Why no one has posted mods on nexus ?
Because no one did it and when I began to do it other modders began too.

And to explore mods you pretty much have to go to discord and so sign up for a discord account.

Having mods on nexus also brings visibility to this discord and by consequence other mods taht aren't available on nexus

yeah this do be a downside. But it also brings people that are only on nexus and were like "wait there are other mods on discord ?"

I think if I came across the balatro mods on NM, then found out about this discord, the fact that this server has a huge tonne of mods would make me want to post here instead

Nexus updates live with 5 min delay, Github must search and look for any new mods.
It's still a great way to discover

Is there any other mod like this? I want to play more fun unique things on endless that aren’t just Baron/mime/blueprint/steel king.

Please make a liner scaling Ante or something more reasonable, I don’t like how the normal game works at all, after Ante 10 Ante 11 jumping too 7 Milion is so unreasonable for any normal fun deck that’s not, the usual bull crap Steel king red sticker with baron mime and blueprint. I have made it too Ante 15+ so many times and only with that, I genuinely feel like the game is unfun because off this being the only thing that can keep going in Endless.

Now I understand counter argument saying “game isn’t really supposed too go above Ante 8, Ante 8 means you win” but I don’t think it’s so fun, cause for the first 1-4 Antes your build is just random and nothing exciting like an Ai, 5-10 is super fun.
10+ is unfun and miserable if you have cool deck/combo made that’s not OP.
